#16 Pitt takes down #6/5 Georgetown

he's also a young coach, getting better and bringing Pitt into the upper echelon of college teams. I guess he should have made the Final Four as a 9 seed.

I'm saying he should have made it past the Sweet 16 times at least one time, he's a great coach, but can be considered nothing better until he can win more than 2 games in the NCAA Tournament

I believe I admitted my faults about that terrible day, tell me what's Duke's current ranking

why exactly does Duke's ranking mean anything? They could be crowned "high basketball gods of all time" and they still blew a huge lead and lost to Pitt.

Bradley was extremely underrated and had just beaten Kansas, yes it was acceptable.

I remember that KU/Bradley game, that Jayhawk team wasn't prepared at all, Pitt should have understood there competition heading into the 2nd round. If I remember correctly that Bradley team had great balance and didn't rely on individual performance. Like I say, I'm not trying to downgrade Dixon in any way, but he's going to have to advance further into the tourney before he can be considered an elite coach

Like I said, I am not taking sides in this argument, but saying Pitt "greatly underachieved" in those two tournaments is a bit of a stretch.

you obviously don't remember that game. Patrick Obryant led Bradley. His performances earned him a number 9 overall pick in the draft.

I'm sure Coach K is struggling to sleep about that game. It was a neutral court game with a team that was still trying to find itself. They've since had some time off and they've improved. They just went cold in the 2nd half, it's not like the Wisconsin win earlier this season cancels that out or anything

Sommerville(sp) and Wright were both excellent contribitors

Memphis completely dismantled them in the Sweet 16 so I guess we can see that Cal has his team ready to play for mid-major teams

The problem is, you are singing a completely different tune than you were before the game. You, along with every other Duke homer in the country, were drooling over the fact that they had blown out a few crappy teams. Duke remains overrated, and will be exposed in conference play. While we are on the Duke thing, Greg Paulus is at best the 7th best point guard in the ACC.

Okay, I am finished with my Duke bashing. All I am saying is, don't tell people they know nothing of a subject, especially when they are giving you examples and hard evidence to support their argument, it makes you look like a jackass.

You're right the particular game I was thinking about was the Bucknell game the year before, I believe. The one were Simeon missed that turnaround shot from the free throw line to end it

Paulus is not the 7th best PG in the conference.

Rice, Lawson, Singletary, are all better I'll even give you Vasquez

bradley was balanced most of that season, but obryant absolutely went off in the postseason. Aaron Gray was completely helpless trying to stop him.

i never once called dixon "elite". That's reserved for k, smith, wooden, rupp, knight, etc. Dixon can flat out coach though and there was no doubt of that even before this season started.

Hammonds is better, Toney Douglas and Ish Smith probably are. I am not convinced that Paulus is the best PG on his team.

Smith are Hammonds aren't, I would have said Douglas before the season, but he's yet to impress me this season

We'll see how well Paulus plays against all the guards I mentioned. Hammonds will dominate his scrawny white arse.
