'16 TN ATH JoeJuan Williams

nothing to worry about here

that said, the vols’ recruiting efforts would support the coaches’ theory that winning is more impactful than losing -- tennessee holds the no. 13 ranked class in the country, and jones landed the no. 5-ranked class in both 2014 and 2015. That hasn’t translated to the field just yet, but some prospects say they still see the vision that jones and his staff has.

Espn 300 defensive back joejuan williams is one of those recruits holding strong in his interest in the volunteers, and says it would take something major for him to lost the feelings he has.

“you could have a 1-12 record, but if i love the school then i’ll be there next year,” williams said. “it doesn’t matter to me because that’s the name of the game, it’s football. The only concern i would have is if the coaching staff leaves before i make a decision. If there’s talk about them getting fired soon then that gets to you, and if it happens then you have to start back at square one.”

while the losing hasn’t impacted williams, tennessee does not want to hear its targets qualifying their interest with ifs and buts. That’s not how most coaches want their targets to think either, as ohio state coach urban meyer explains.

“i want to be around winners,” meyer said. “if i say we have the chance to really win big here, and if i hear someone say ‘that’s not real important to me’ then we kind of move on. We want people to have a complete, absolute distaste for losing. I’ll take a step slower and an inch shorter in someone that is so competitive, whether it’s racquetball or ping-pong or whatever.”

Per Hubbs

guys Hubbs and the Volquest guys are very close to us at NPA and they'll never give up a kids hand so just take it all with a grain of salt. Joejuan is in good hands and wears a nice choice of colors daily just ask around Hendersonville if you know someone in our neck of the woods.

He sure would see a lot of playing time early here from what I see. Gaulden/Kelly/Martin are really the only guys I can comfortably say start next year without someone beating them out. That leaves a corner spot and either a Nickel/S spot depending on Gauldens being a nickel or S.

Gaulden is a cb not a safety

What position does Evan Berry fit best de1? I don't see him much on defense I could be wrong though.

Sutton not a starter next year? I think the belief he leaves for NFL are overblown, unless he leaves knowing he isn't a first round pick

I kp telling pp the likelihood that Cam is not bk is slim. I checked today and he has a late 2nd early 3rd rd grade. If that's OK with him then he'll go if not he'll return.
Sounds about right. Teams dont throw much his way but he has been beat a couple times this season and some weak tackling from time to time.

He has covered guys well with couple of pbu as well

I've always thought this was the case at this point. Never saw why people labeled him sure fire 1st rounder. He can benefit from one more year.

It's fandom Nooga it happens a lot on here. Thoughhe's only given up 1 td this yr its by default. Why throw at Cam and there are 2 terrible cb opposite him. OCs want to mk it easy for their qb not prove points as to who is or is not good per media and fan hype. I think Cam is a good db but as I hv stated losingTerry Fair has hurt the entire secondary along with an ineffective pass rush being a close 2nd issue. But there's absolutely no comparison between him and VH3 by no means.

I agree. Our fanbase grossly inflates our best players' abilities. I can remember when Brent Brewer was a sure thing 1st rounder after his first season in orange.

Cam's really good, but he doesn't look as good as last year, and the coaching from Fair is probably a contributing factor. And like you said, what incentive do other teams have to throw at him when the other option is putting up career numbers vs Moseley or Foreman. They will take the easy play every single time.

Cam has been thrown at plenty this year, more than I have ever seen him thrown at, and hes not making many plays. Hes really looked pedestrian this year in coverage and tackling. Does UGA throw that last pass at VHIII? Probably not. Cam has some work to do.

Sure, he's been thrown at, but not at nearly the rate as Moseley and Foreman.

That last play wasn't thrown "at Cam", so much as it was thrown out of desperation to a WR who was simply the most open with no time on the clock. Cam wasn't a "target" on that play.

In cams case, what would coming back prove to NFL that he hasn't already put on 2.5 yrs of film? If he isn't first rd now he prob isn't next year. Nothing wrong with round 2 and 3 in NFL these days. This is why I doubt he comes back unless he thinks we win a title and that means more

Yeah, Moseley and Forman look rough. Saw Rico McGraw make plenty of plays for UGA on Saturday, though. Really wish we would've pulled him in
