I remember some folks saying a while back the kid had some grade issues and such. Talent aside, he was a long way from considering college anywhere.

I did not even have him in my 2016 class prediction.

Agreed. This one of those "huh?" commitments when we took it. Sometimes I feel like CBJ underestimated his ability to recruit here early on and took some unnecessary reaches.

It wasn't really that kid went up to camp and the kids at the camp were young. Dorian ran a decent 40 not knowing his background or history along with his uncle gassing him up they offered. Kid is probably NAIA Bethel or Lane College material at best. Watched him 2 or 3 times last yr and he was very average at best.

Yep. IMO he was a blue shirt at best and there are some academic concerns. I saw him play before he transferred the first time and thought Bruce was a much better player with more upside.

I also thought we were looking for much bigger corners but maybe he was being recruited for something else. IDK

Yea I've seen him in person a couple times, I never thought he was SEC quality. Obviously no talent scout, but saw this coming months ago.

Slippery slope with Banks. His handler or trainer or whatever they call it these days is a friend of the program.

That being said, Banks will not be a Vol.

If his handler/trainer is a real "friend" of the program, then he shouldn't want a marginal player on the team..
