I told you guys in due time. Decent athlete but not UT caliber probably Bethel or Lane College bound. Maybe even JUCO

I posted months ago that i didnt think he would be part of this class.But some of you guys have posted very negative remarks.I wish the kid all the success where ever he ends up,i know some of your negative remarks is because he decommitted .But it is probally 100 percent mutual.Go Vols i love that the season ia days away :

I think 90% or more of people in this forum knew Banks wouldn't be signing here. What I don't get is why Butch offered Banks when he did.

LOL at some of you guys getting overly upset at some of these comments.

Wasn't it Banks that told a recruiting analyst that he wouldn't give him an interview until he increased his star rating? I thought it was hilarious (if him), but it speaks volumes...

Kid said a lot, if I remember correctly.

It's not like he was a humble kid, that kept his head down and worked, and just didn't make it.

Again, I may be misremembering, but I think it was him. May be where some of these comments are coming from.

I believe the story goes that he was offered in his sophomore year, when he wow'd at a camp in comparison to his peers.

He was big and athletic compared to the other 15 yr olds, so they took a chance.

He never got any bigger or better.

That would be correct, but also note it was early and CBJ was new and was building relationships. DB ran a 4.59 and the coaches kinda forgot this was not CMU or Cincinnati lolllllllllllllllll.

Thanks for the explanations.......recruiting will never be a perfect science. Maybe Butch would still take a flyer on Dorian if he had more scholarships to give and there were no other warning signs.

It was suggested by Fort that his ability to qualify might be an issue too. He didn't say it was grades but several transfers that may become an issue. They mentioned it last night on WVLT show "The Extra Point".

One of the few, what I believe to be, crutches in Butch's recruiting is that he is so damn good at recruiting but he still accepts these type of commitments. Butch knows only one way of recruiting, and that's to go all out and get a kid. There are far worse problems to have, but it's the nature of the beast that is Butch Jones.

Lane college ugh. That place is awful. Awful neighborhood that gets more dangerous every year. Now they have one of the Vandy rape suspects playing on their team
