'16 TN LB Daniel Bituli (UT commit 7/18/15)

So he's physical? When we thought he was leaning towards AU he was soft.

Meh, still not sold on Bituli being elite. I think he's a good prospect but I don't see him as one of those guys like Richmond, Barnett, Phillips, Malone, etc that is a situation that if you miss you can't sign a similar player. I know I'll get killed on this but that's still my opinion. I hope I'm wrong, I see him as a solid player.

Go ahead and cue the "you suck" and "I'll trust the coaches over you" posts. :)

Meh to this post

I don't feel, and I don't recall the board feeling he was truly leaning AU. As far as de1, he gave his personal opinion, and did say he hoped he was wrong. Now he's saying he got info from coaches that show improvement in his eyes. I see nothing wrong with his perspective, certainly not hypocrisy.

He wasn't going after De1...he's trying to right the world's wrongs. :)

I agree and you are dead on Chad

Personally, I prefer an informed opinion over an uninformed blind following.

My opinion was that Barnett was overrated. Not sure if I posted that before, but I've admitted to it after he was awesome this year. I also have some opinions that seem to be spot on.

Why do we feel the need to call people out?

I'll be the first to admit I whif more often than not. But wasn't Barnett rated pretty low? How would he have been overrated?

Just shining a little light on the hypocrisy 👍

But, it should not be a big surprise. People start back-peddling and justifying when they don't come here. Just like every 2 and 3 star recruit we have ever had is grossly under-rated. I get what you're saying, but I am not sure it needed to be said.

He was a high four star hotly pursued by Ohio State and Bama, but you'd hear redshirt talk. No one thought he'd bring it like he did DAY ONE in practice! He was underrated.

Depends on what you think of low. On 247, Barnett was a composite 4* and #206 overall, #13 SDE. Hendrix was rated higher for sure (as were many lesser talented DE's).

The thing is, Richmond, Phillips, and Malone were ranked to reflect that elite status. Bituli isn't. He's rated as a middle of the road 4* LB, so I don't think anyone is really touting him as irreplaceable in this class.

Fair enough. I still think there would be plenty of idiots tearing down the staff for missing on the #1 instate player though.

The 16 class in general isn't as talented or deep as prior or upcoming classes. This is a good year for a team to not be able to take a full class.

I don't think you will find anyone that would put him in their category. Solid prospect deserving of 4 star status but those other guys are 5 star Elites. I don't see a 5 star instate this year.

Which team is that as CBJ will reload with 25+ again...get with the program or get gone is his motto. I'll recruit someone to take your place who will buy in.

That team would be the Tennessee Vols as we are not taking 25 commits this year. We might take as many as 20-21 with recent events though.

Time will tell on him, right now he is in the Orlando Reyes "...passes the look test..." Category. How many years has he played football?
