Not knocking the kid at all because he plays some tough football. Is he I playing the best competition possible in Tenn., I'm not familiar with THSF.
And I love he didn't retaliate before halftime and get in trouble, he went into the locker room and probably sat there didn't say a word until he could go out there and smash the dude, lol.

What happened before halftime?

@TheNextVol: Opposing team tried to take @DBituli out of the game by holding on a majority of the plays... He is a game changer💯

I really want to see him on campus. I will enjoy seeing what the UT S&C program does for him. Good luck to you young man.

He is showing more fire this season and that's good.

You won't find a better character kid on the Tennessee team, I just want to see that killer instinct that is required, to play SEC football. He needs a little Cade Mays in him on the field.

Has Bituli been playing the past couple of weeks? On hudl his last highlights are against White House Heritage. I am hoping to see him play halloween weekend agaonst Trousdale County.

"I think he's still open to other schools. I don't have any reasons to believe it's not his own doing that he's looking around."

what does that even mean? Such poor grammar

He means that he has no reason to think the staff is encouraging Butuli to look around. It is obvious that this quote is in response to a question.

When there's a double negative in a sentence my brain literally goes on the fritz. I honestly don't understand it either.

Fort is saying the reason he's looking around is of his own volition?

Some posters over there that claims to know the defensive coordinator at his high school that he texted the DC and he said his family are huge Tennessee fans and are very influential in the decision. Said he would be shocked if he ended up anywhere other than Tennessee.

OVERALL TRAITS
Size-Strength-Range
Big, thick framed linebacker prospect with room to still add bulk to his frame. Strong hands and upper-body. Runs well for his size, a bit straight line and methodical but he can cover ground and make stops outside the hashes.

Instincts/Take On Skills
Strong take-on skills; holds point and can shed bigger linemen while staying clean. Better on the attack then reading and reacting from second level. Instinctive as a pass rusher in finding the QB.

Tackling
When RB's are lined up he's a strong run-through tackler. In the open field he can overrun at times. Strong hands for drag downs from the backside.

3rd Down Capabilities
Productive pass rusher. Length and quickness to get the edge and track down evading QB's. Anticipates well and gets a good jump off the ball. Has speed-to-power he can rely on. Working to attack half the body more consistently. Can get to his zone drops and has ball skills through his experience on offense.

Bottom Line
If Bituli had a bit more speed and fluidity he would likely be one of the top LB prospects on our board. He is a load-carrier at running back but feel his best upside is defensive player. Putting his hand on the ground is not out of the question in the future.

Underclassman Eval
STRENGTHS: Bituli has the measurables to get recruited on either side of the ball. Is a big, physical downhill back who runs between the tackles with good urgency and power. Although he is tall, he is willing to take on contact and is willing to run through defenders with determined leg drive. Has the ability to make people miss once he gets to the second level. Has great feet and agility given his size. A strong take-on linebacker who can also run and make plays. ...
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Would benefit from running lower on a consistent basis and reading linebacker flow more accurately for the in-line cutback. Can become a more refined route runner out of the backfield. ...
BOTTOM LINE: Bituli is a big, athletic player who has the ability to be a physical presence in the run game at the next level. With his athleticism, he should be able to move to another position if asked to. Possible linebacker candidate.

Per Hubbs

Tennessee commitment Daniel Bituli is expected in as well this weekend. Bituli is of particular importance as Auburn and LSU continue to make runs at the linebacker out of Nashville.
