It's amazing how quick you forget the recruiting battles you lost last year to Ole Miss. Just to name a few (van Jefferson, Alex Givens, D.J. Jones, Damarcus Lodge, Eric Swinney). Akeem Judd from last year. Vols have been a non factor for how long now? 7 or 8 years at least. Ole miss won 2 games 2011 and has surpassed the mighty vols in a short year or so. 34 - 3 last year should tell you how behind you are to ole miss. Keep tooting your horn in a pitiful east conference. You wouldn't win a game in the west. Arkansas will mash you just like ole miss did. Ole Miss is and always will be an afterthought of a program.

Congrats on the high point of your program's history being an upset of Alabama that ultimately didn't even knock them out of the SECCG.

And sorry about the 2-4 ending to your season, including a 42-3 beatdown at the hands of TCU.

Enjoy irrelevance after the "big 3" leave and Freeze gets fired for being a cheating scumbag.

Not at all. It's just amazing how smoke is blown up each one of your asses about how you win most all the battles against ole miss when you should be telling the whole truth about freeze being a force in recruiting. However you spin it it's not that difficult to win the east. Take on an auburn Alabama LSU every year and see where the vols would be in the west. Near the bottom or at the bottom. 6 losses last year if you were in west no doubt.

We've been in a decade-long low point. It's been rough, without a doubt but good, hopefully great, times are on the horizon but...when was the last time OM was in the SECCG? Ever?

Hell, Miss State has been there more times than OM. Congratulations...

It was embarrassing... as a fan of a historic powerhouse seeing his team lose to a bottom half of the SEC program by that margin. But... UT is at a historic low ebb while Ole Miss is at a "peak"... well so to speak.

To explain how truly embarrassing it was to lose to such an absolute "nobody"... UT is one of two programs that has never won less than 5 games in a season. Just two. Ole Miss has won less than 5 games 1/3 of the time since 2000.

So yes. It was embarrassing to see a Vol team even at the lowest of low ebbs lose to Ole Miss much less by 31 points. The good news is that as a Vol fan... It isn't something I have to worry about repeating itself very often when these two programs meet.
