'16 TN QB Tylin Oden

With Jones transferring it may not be a bad thing to try and grab this guy. Take Oden now and don't take a QB in 2017 unless you lose another to transfer. Helps with going all in for Lawrence in 2018.

I'd honestly rather see them go after Andrew Bunch from Independence high school in some capacity....preferred walkon or blue shirt..... than Ty. The Bunch kid is a D1 talent that just isn't getting any big offers. Don't understand it. He can flat out spin it.

Maybe if they got their head out of their backside and offered Johnson, his QB would consider the walk on route. There have been some strange moves this year.

What offers does he have?

Schools like Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Ky. I'm not sure if any power 5 schools have shown any interest. I know this....he's much more talented than the Wallace kid that's committed to Vandie. Only drawback I can figure with this kid is maybe his size. Listed at 6'1" 190, but he's athletic and has great arm talent. For those who may not know, he was Nathan Johnson's QB at Independence....same school where Vic and Gaulden came from. My son knows him....lets just say he's "supremely confident" and he can play.

Wish I had gone to some Indy games this year. I went to almost every home game Vic and Gaulden's SR year. The QB that year was horrible. Hope it wasn't your son KB haha. I also said I was gonna go see Tylin this year since I can practically piss on SHHS from my house and I never made it.

No, not my son. He doesn't go to Independence. Lol. I live right up the road from Indy but only went to see Vic and Rashaan play once when they were seniors so I know how it is. Ty is so thin, he's gonna be a project wherever he goes IMO. He's a great athlete and has great height/length, but he has some serious work to do in a collegiate S&C program. Haven't seen him play QB so I couldn't speak to his throwing ability at all, but he has D1 type athletic ability IMO. My son saw him play vs Summit this year and said he made all his big plays running the ball. I'll be interested to see where he ends up.

Back to Bunch though....looks like somebody's gonna get themselves a very talented passer at a minimum. I really think he could be a preferred walkon at UT and maybe someday at least provide some QB depth. I could see him tearing it up at a smaller school like Austin Peay, MTSU or Western Ky. I know the guys at 104.5 who did the State playoff games just raved about his throwing ability and repeatedly asked why in the world he wasn't getting more high D1 offers. All you can really point to is his size....but my son says he's a legit 6'1 and he could certainly add 15-20 pounds.

Jones left. Its likely Jancek will leave. I'd think Butch will at the least be looking for a walk on QB. With only 3 scholarship guys including Guarantano, I wouldn't be surprised if he took a second one on scholarship this year if we had a slot open late.

Prediction to Rutgers today. They just had a QB decommit so they may be in scramble mode.

I did see where Tylin completed a total of around 60 passes this year. They must not have thrown much.

There was a QB recruit a year or so ago that had been at 2-3 high schools. Blackman and middle tenn Christian iirc

Many here wanted that kid
What ever happened to him?
