I didn't really like the red hot and blue in plano. Good to see some fellow Texans on here![]()
Tennessee is a real factor with Texas offensive lineman Kellen Diesch because his parents once lived in Knoxville and became Tennessee fans and still cheer for the Vols to the day. But, several Big 12 schools, most notably Oklahoma (where he visited last weekend) and Baylor, are pushing hard for Diesch.
Both the Sooners and the Bears are major contenders for Diesch and Tennessee will have a real opportunity to grab his attention this weekend and join that group. A decision isn't far off for Diesch, either, as he would like to have something decided before his spring football practice begins.
Seems like if the Vol staff were serious about this kid moving so far from home they would also offer his 4* teammate.

Diesch said it was a good trip to get to know the coaches more since it was a smaller number of visitors and he spent a good amount of time with Mahoney, Elder and even coach Jones. He said he really likes Tennessee, Baylor and Oklahoma and mentioned Texas, who just offered, as well as Arkansas as his next two visits and then he will try and figure out some things.
"Well, it's going to be a really tough choice for me but I'm deciding between OU, Baylor, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas A&M, " Diesch said. "When I'm going to commit, I'm not sure yet. I can't tell you when I'm going to commit because it could be tomorrow or it could be at OU's spring game. I don't know honestly. Probably sometime before spring ball though. I'd like to get it over with, but I don't have a specific date or anything."
Tennessee - "I just really like them a lot. Probably if all things were equal I'd probably go to Tennessee because their facilities are really nice and I love the coaching staff. I'd have great impact ability there. I just really like Tennessee a lot."
