SCOUTING REPORT ON IGNONT
Now we turn to Rivals.com Florida Recruiting Analyst Rob Cassidy for more on Ignont:
"Tennessee's getting a prospect with sky high potential when it comes to Will Ignont. He's kind of had an up and down last year-and-a-half as far as him as a prospect. When he was younger he was seen as a 'can't miss' guy, in the Rivals100, but he added some bad weight and hasn't looked as explosive or as sharp as he did early in his career.
"But, that's not to say he can't get that back. Even as it is he's still the kind of player that can come in and make an impact in the SEC. He has a tremendous frame and good size and when he's at his best he's quite explosive and can move well laterally and can be light on his feet. But, he's lost a step or so it seems in the last year, but he's got the potential there and the ceiling is still high. He can come in at Tennessee and maybe needs a year to reshape and get that explosive year back and by the time he steps back on the field he can be his best again.
"I think we've all seen him at his best and when he's at his best everyone is blown away with his potential."
