They've been a little cryptic as to where each will play. I think it was Jumper that said the linebackers were interchangeable. They mentioned that Kirkland could play JRM's spot.
He has been in on all of our top guys since day 1... Look at his 247 profile. We have missed on a few LB's for sure, but he has helped bring in talent on both sides of the ball. Also, who knows if he would have recruited Bates/berry if they weren't legacies....What makes Thig an elite recruiter?
I would've agreed 3 years ago. Since 2014, we've had other guys do just as much or more on the recruiting trail.
I think Butch is probably our best recruiter actually. Between him and Shoop, I'd be fine with losing a little on the recruiting front if it means bringing in a LB coach who maximizes our LBs' potential.
FTR, I'm not saying I think he'll be going anywhere. I just think it's a switch that might be good for our defense at this point. Early on in his tenure, Butch needed guys who were great recruiters so he could flip the roster and get the talent he needed to win. Now the talent is in place for the most part. We just need the coaches in place to take advantage of it.
How had Sapp beat out McDowell?
McDowell played right after JRM was ejected vs Appy.
The only way Butili plays that much is if Kirkland really isn't back or in mop up IMO.
Sapp and McDowell played.
But i do recall McDowell playing more reps.
No Bituli will play a good amount.
At MLB and on the edge some.
They targeted this part of the year to play him more. Same thing with Kirkland last year. And we need Bituli because Kirkland won't be 100 percent until Atlanta against Bama/ LSU. We need him to be ready.
Bituli is good enough to start. He just needs reps. Butch compared him to Jarrad Davis of Florida. Davis is probably the best MLB in the SEC. Foster at Bama too.

Yeah, but your 'beliefs' aren't rooted in reality. And I doubt anyone really cares if you are personally impressed or not.

Ok.
Appreciate you responding to so many of my post. Kind of surprising considering you really don't care what I have to say. Reminds me of that song from the 80's where the singer tells us over and over and over again "I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you". They said it so much it become very clear they were lieing.
