Ok.
Appreciate you responding to so many of my post. Kind of surprising considering you really don't care what I have to say. Reminds me of that song from the 80's where the singer tells us over and over and over again "I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you, I ain't missing you". They said it so much it become very clear they were lieing.
I wouldn't call having now 4 LB's committed to us for 2017 having a ton of LB's. We do have Blakely & Butili from last season that we will have but we do not have a ton of LB's yet. Thanks!
We've signed a ton of LBs. What gives?
Just a position where we have several misses for a variety of reasons. Playing the 4-2-5 as somewhat the base defense, the two LB's have to run really well. One of the two has understand the defense well enough to get everyone lined up correctly. DKjr and JRM made the position a strength of the team. Without them, the depth is woeful.
Multiple injuries, two misjudged legacy recruits, assorted other problems:
1) Bynum - Dooley recruit. Had knee issue. Trouble moving. Hard to play him in the 4-2-5 package.
2) Bates - Just in over his head at this level.
3) Elliott Berry - Trying hard but small.
4) Sapp - Has a chance in future, but injured early this year.
5) McDowell - Not sure if he is overthinking, but seems to react slow or something.
6) Bituli - Think he is going to be great! IMO, needs experience asap.
7) Bryant - Don't know his story. Hasn't played much for a third year guy.
8) Jumper - Been discussed enough. Trying his best.
Lotta butthurt from bammers. Once Bama "cooled" on him, he started to suck a lot.

Jancek did a lot with the LBs when he was here. They were his pet position like safeties are with Shoop.
Outside of Jumper, I've thought most of our LBs have regressed this year. Even JRM and Kirkland didn't look that great the little we've seen them.
I forget his name, but Shoop lost the LB coach and co-DC he'd been working with the past 3-4 years when he came here.
I think some fresh blood at the LB coaching position would be a good change. Thig was great for us when he first got here mostly because of his work on the recruiting trail, but that has tapered off greatly since 2014 and other LB coaches around the country have done more with less.
Sapp and McDowell played.
But i do recall McDowell playing more reps.
No Bituli will play a good amount.
At MLB and on the edge some.
They targeted this part of the year to play him more. Same thing with Kirkland last year. And we need Bituli because Kirkland won't be 100 percent until Atlanta against Bama/ LSU. We need him to be ready.
Bituli is good enough to start. He just needs reps. Butch compared him to Jarrad Davis of Florida. Davis is probably the best MLB in the SEC. Foster at Bama too.
