I like his tape. Not an instant impact guy I don't think but we don't need him to be but he would have the opportunity to be if that makes sense. Being an EE will help him greatly.

Sears did tell me that Tennessee and Boston College are recruiting him the hardest. Said he talks with Coach DeBord once or twice a week.
The plan is for him to still visit the first week of April.
Sears had a good visit to Arizona State last Thursday.

Talking to him 1 or 2 times a week says how interested Tn is in him imo. Must have huge upside.

Bet he works out too much for meaningful relationships. You need someone with arthritic joints. :wavey:

Butchna may be really old but when he gets his arthritic joints loosened up he can really get down.

Recruiting wrap:

Tennessee, Arizona State, Boston College and Utah are recruiting Sears the hardest and a round of upcoming visits could further help him with the decision-making process. Sears, who won the QB Challenge on Sunday, is supposed to see Tennessee, Boston College, Duke, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and Notre Dame. The Vols could be tough to beat, but watch out if Notre Dame comes through with an offer.

Prediction: Tennessee
-Rivals.

Notre Dame just took at QB commitment today and Perry recommitted to Miami. Looks like UT could be narrowing the focus to Sears exclusively.

I almost wonder if that isn't what led to Perry sticking with Miami. My guess is that Sears' upcoming unofficial visit may be a formality and a commitment could be forthcoming soon afterwards. Perry may have tried to commit and was told he had to wait until Sears made a decision.
