If he visited, then I wouldn't be surprised to see his spot go to Pouncey. We've had enough drama queens on the team, that we don't need someone who is dishonest with the coaches.

Pouncey said visit was eye opening and left him something to think about. Vols told him space was tight and he will announce on NSD at 1pm between Vols Canes and Horns. Side note he really likes the broadcasting program and the tv studio inside Anderson..his major is broadcasting

just had a chance to catch up with Pouncey. Loved his visit and says he is deciding between Vols, Texas and Miami. He will announce on Wednesday

He indicated that Tennessee coaches talked a lot with him about numbers so he's aware that things are tight. He added that the staff made him feel wanted and that they had a spot for him.

Hubbs followed up with this...


You got a couple things going on at receiver Jordan Murphy went to ole miss this weekend after telling us friday and Saturday he wasn't there.

Jacquez jones is at central Florida now I don't think he is decommitting but we are watching that one as well.

sounds like Pouncey's in if Jones or Murphy are out.

Let Murphy go to Ole Miss and take Pouncey. I'm still not convinced Murphy is going to make it in anyway.

I like Jones a lot, but if Conliffe still wants in I say take him and say bye to Jones as well.

The possible positive to taking another WR is a possible Byrd move to CB.....Maybe??

If Pouncey comes it's probably because we have a current WR go elsewhere so it'd come out in a wash I think

From the sounds of this...we will only take Pouncey if we miss on one of the committed WRs

Pouncey, a three-star prospect, was the only uncommitted target Tennessee hosted on an official visit over the weekend, and the Vols remain one of his three finalists, along with Miami and Texas. By all accounts, Tennessee again impressed him after finishing second to Notre Dame when he made his initial decision in June. If the VolsÂ’ class wasnÂ’t at or near capacity, they would have a real shot at beating out Miami and Texas for him. But the reality is that thereÂ’s a good chance Tennessee wonÂ’t have room for another receiver, especially if it holds onto its current commitments at the position.

All the schools he's considering wears orange...I like Pouncey but if he signs I think it is bad news that we lost Murphy
