So, from talking to several people, here's where I am. As of this morning, neither South Carolina nor Tennessee knew what he was going to do.
Based on a few conversations I think Tennessee was where he was likely going as of last night.
But, as we've said throughout this recruitment, several different people close to Corker have wanted him to do several different things so I don't know where Corker himself stands and where some others close to him stands.
If it's Kentucky, I'll be interested to see what happens with his cousin, who some believe he's wanted to play with.
As of just over an hour out, I don't know what he's planning on doing.
I do know that some people close to Corker have put out there that no matter what happens today, he's going to be open to taking official visits come January.
One of my favorite few recruits of the class. I am shocked
It happens. Missing a 3* corner isn't the end of the world. Obviously we waned this kid but obviously we wanted this one.
A kid making a decision other than what was expected isn't a massive failure. This kid isn't a program changer. He's not even one of the top 5 commits we will have in this class.
We've got to quit going off the deep end every time we miss a recruit. Especially when it's an out of state 3*.
No offense but if he goes to Kentucky because of his cuz who is not supposely good enough gets an offer then that tells me Georgia with gibbs and this deal is more DOOLEY like in only getting guys because of package deals. That is like losing a scholly before you start. Can't be great doing that. Bama and OSU do not have to do that and we will be better long term if we don't. This kid is no sure thing and like time has shown, even five stars can bust. Not worth doing. Let him go to a bowl game maybe once during his time there. Move on and grab someone else. I think Martinez is gone and these kids don't realize it's best for them if they do.
Sure to get him but they will never be a top contender doing this stuff if they ever want to be elite. How many times do you see elite teams doing this. Especially for a three star.
Kentucky needs to take a few more steps before they worry about being elite. Kids like Corker help.
