just caught up with Aaron Sterling. He confirmed he will take an OV to Tennessee in January. He said Tennessee and South Carolina have separated themselves from NC State and UGA. He doesn't have the dates set up for the trips as of right now, but it looks like it's going to be between the Gamecocks and Vols heading down the stretch.

“It’s the simple fact that Tennessee never stopped. When I was committed to Alabama they never stopped recruiting me and that’s the main focal point as to why I like Tennessee,” Sterling explained. “They never gave up. They keep saying, ‘We’ve got to have him.’ I like how they did that.

Sterling has a final four of Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina State but admitted the Vols and Gamecocks hold the edge heading into January. “Put it this way, South Carolina and Tennessee are really up there,” Sterling said at the Under Armour All-American Game.

“They want me to play d-end. They want me to try and replace Derek Barnett,” Sterling said. “That’s the main thing they keep telling me, they need someone to come in and help replace him.” “It means a lot because Derek Barnett is All-SEC. He has accomplished a lot.”

“It shows they weren’t going to stop until they had me. That’s a big part of the recruiting process; which school talks to you the most,” Sterling continued. “Tennessee was one of the main schools that kept talking to me and never stopped recruiting me. Even when I committed they never stopped. They actually offered me and from that day on they kept going.”

It's not that we're passing on Ray, he's passing on us & Sterling might be the next comparable recruit at the same position.

Is it so hard to believe that Ray is legitimately not coming here? Cam Akers was never coming here either lol.

Can we focus on guys we actually have a shot with like Sterling?
