'17 GA LB Jaquan Henderson (Former UT commit)

Interesting note
Tennessee linebacker Jaquan Henderson did not make his OV this weekend. The longtime commit has taken official visits to a trio of B1G schools, as well as North Carolina last weekend.*
While some assumed the Tar Heels were the Vols main competition for the Newton (Ga.) standout, SEC Country reported on Friday that Georgia Tech had been aggressively (although quietly) recruiting Henderson of late.*
Henderson took an unofficial trip to Tech this weekend, per sources. It will be interesting to see what comes out of that visit and if he'll take his OV to UT next weekend.*

I got a bad feeling about this one. Maybe it's a mutual thing though. He just might be heading elsewhere & CBJ & him have talked about it & they already know it.

I know if he doesn't show up next weekend something like this is going on. I don't think Henderson is a must anyhow. Opens up another spot if you ask me. Thanks!

To be honest if I was a marginable SEC recruit and especially if I lived in GA I would jump all over a GT offer that's a good education there

If I wanted to be an engineer I would, but If i just wanted to get some type of businesss degree going to a big state school with a large alumni base could set you up just as well when you put that you played football there on your resume.

I think with him and Reid being similar and Reid already on campus allowed us to let him go or it not hit as hard when he did leave or we let him go.

This tells me that the coaches really like what they have seen from Reid so far. I think they love Solon Page. He is a tackling machine. That gives us 3 very solid linebackers in this class with Ignont in the middle. It also opens up a spot for another potential dl, wr, dB, or rb.

"Tennessee happily would have held onto him. He just overplayed his hand a bit. He kept taking visits, and once he didn't show up in Knoxville this weekend, I think the Vols just decided they had to move on."

GA tech just took a recruit from us? Nice... who is the next backup plan?

Obviously if we upgrade great. If not, it is clearly disappointing to lose a player to Georgia Tech.
