We were in play for Reed, should of gotten him, and we didn't. Now it's not completely UGA's to lose, but yeah, what can you do? Kirby's done well with this recruitment.


As for tee Higgins, I never had much info on him, more word of mouth. I only ever heard tee's name mentioned when talking about current or future commitments, hence the "I don't see him anywhere but UT" talk. His family is also huge vols fans. What happened with tee never added up to equal Clemson but sometimes that's just the way it is. Maybe deep down he wanted to get out of Knoxville, we may never know his true feelings towards it. It sucks, but we'll be alright.

This class of '16 is shaping up to be an INSANE class on all fronts, which is coming as a surprise to the star gazers simply because butch and staff see value in the profile of these athletes better than anyone in the country and we better get used to him bringing in players that may not be 5 stars but turn out to have the stat line of a 5 star kid. Butch and staff are working the recruiting and EVALUATION aspect of CFB like few have done before him and it will pay off, regardless of what the critics think. What Saban gets in number of 5 stars, Butch is getting in guys who FIT our system and can play at an elite level in the sec in our system. It won't be the most popular, especially with the amount of armchair coach morons who grace these kinds of forums, but it will work, and at a high level. Just watch.

I've been meaning to say something about tee but really I didn't think it was worth it. He's a great player and will succeed at Clemson. We'll get ours though. Especially after the year our guys will have.

You don't have to explain anything. What an 17-18 year old kid decides to do can never be understood sometimes. Like you said above, Butch has a profile he is looking for. It may not always jive with the recruiting sites but he has earned the right to recruit how he feels is best. After this season he will have proven his profile is a recipe for success.
