He forget Guarantano was committed already? I guess the Rivals bump freaked him out. Oh well Guarantano is a better fit for the offense anyway

Clemson is hot right now. Butch just needs to win more games next year. Needs to beat Florida as well.

You were using code words. :matrix: Ninnies freakingout over a 2017 QB RECRUIT when we're lined up (at least) 3 deep THIS season and in great position for Trevor Lawrence. Butch has proven every one of you guys wrong on his recruiting since date of hire. Yes,including me...was optimistic but had no idea how great he'd be so fast. Man's relentless and four steps ahead of the annual doubters. "Get his **** together"...you freaking idiot!

Hunter was an awesome pickup for the staff, but to be honest his commitment never made a ton of sense to me. He's the #1 QB in the nation and would be heading to a school where his strengths wouldn't be utilized.

I bet Dabo sold him on the idea that Butch's offense only works with QBs like Guarantano and that JG would be the #1 guy for basically Hunter's entire career at Tennessee.

This happened because Clemson offered last week and he has an opportunity to step in and play right away. He's worried about Guarantano being a better fit at Tennessee after watching Dobbs this season. That's it.

I agree with this. It's really hard to take an elite QB every single class so I thought this may come eventually. What pisses me off is that he JUST YESTERDAY said that he was going to be one of the lead recruiters in this class and build a great class for Tennessee. Oh wait, nah. What the ****? And then try and take our other recruits with him? Seems like a piece of **** move.

And Clemson's offense runs with guys like Boyd and Watson? Doesn't sound like an offense fit for Johnson either.

I guess that makes me wonder why he picked Tenn in the first place. Guarantano was already committed. Oh, well... we probably will lose Rodgers but I think we hold on to Higgins. We are in a rough patch right now and need some good news.

Course you're not...neither is NEXT YEAR'S top QB...right NOW. And we didn't have "those 2" this time last year...and we had carbon copies of you bleeding out they front bottoms. :yuck: Can't handle a decommit from NEXT YEAR! It's a marathon. Requires a heart. :wavey:

Assuming his word meant nothing to him in the process that's correct

I assume a committment means more that just words to more kids than we give credit to around here
