Honest question: Are you impressed with Butch's recruiting this year? I'm encompassing all of the bad recruiting news lately as Butch's fault.

Overall, yes. This has been a ****ty week, for sure but it's a staff effort. Butch and crew have set the bar extremely high and this class is somewhat below that bar...but its still pretty damn good and knowing what we know of this staff, we will likely close with some of the guys we want to get. I wasn't trying to be a *****, I'm just not comfortable blaming Butch for this. Sometimes recruiting is awesome...and sometimes it ****ing sucks.

I will never hold Christmas-Giles' recruitment against Butch. We had no business being in it for that kid, but yet we were because we had a staff that found the talent well before any other school, including the one in DCG's own home state.

We knew what we had. Unfortunately, DCG blew up and everyone else quickly found out too.

Who will he close with? Hearing that Kongbo won't stick, the WR's will look around if Azzanni leaves, and Osborne will take a second look at other schools if Martinez leaves.

It might not be "I hope he closes", but instead, "I hope we can hang on two our 2-3 elite players this class".

There is no way id send my child to the cesspool of SC. Clemson. smh. good luck to the kid, but, in two years when clemp**** is firing YaboDabo. and playing for 8-4 and Tennessee is 11-1 and winning conference championships, dont second guess yourself.

Ok.. I am not a Clemson fan, but your statement on Dabo is baseless. Clemson has a good football program. If he likes Clemson better than go for it kid. IMO, being a Volunteer trumps being a Tiger any day of the week. But then again, ACC defenses are much friendlier than SEC defenses are.

I hear you. I also believe that if UT didn't have so many great legacy players the last two years, then those classes would look just like this one.

We have a great stable of QBs right now. Dormady is legit and Guarantano is on his way...I know those two are unproven, but have faith that they will be great. I'd rather have 2018 QB Trevor Lawrence.

No way no how! Just got slammed earlier today for having reservations about the possibility that something may be going on with recruiting besides asking kids to look elsewhere so we can upgrade. This is a big deal. I would get it if he was going to a school where he could just step right in and play, but the #1 team in the country would not be my first guess on where he would flip.

49ers coaches are terrible and tried to change offense instead of building around him. Also that's NFL. Kapernick was a beast at Nevada
