'17 IN QB Hunter Johnson (Former UT Commit 8/23/15) (Clemson commit)

I must say that my skills don't extend to Powerball or exactly what team this guy transfers to. Sorry that disappoints you. I think he is transferring to duck competition. Do you have a better reason? Or is he afraid the orange is going to stain his other clothes if he mixes them with whites in the washer?

You originally said he was going to NOTRE DAME to "duck competition". Notre Dame (like other top programs) have competition in spades. Your point didn't make sense back then and doesn't now. Clemson is bringing in Zerrick Cooper this class...wonder if anyone told Hunter? :dunno:

I never said he was definitely going to ND. I used them as an example

So my question remains, why do you think he's decided not to come to Knoxville?

I guess you could say what the OP meant was he was actually ducking conferences

Same reason Deshaun Watson picked Clemson...liked it there better. I understand your bewilderment about kids and choices they make. :hi: It's called THE WAY IT IS. I wouldn't base my whole existence on trying to figure out their "ulterior motives". :hmm:

Looks like "ducking competition" was your wording, not mine

Common denominator of top programs? Loaded rosters. Check out Bama's QBs...5 stars and 4 stars waiting their turn. Hell, Cornwell had to win a camp competition to get an offer. Notre Dame signs a top QB (or two) in every class. If HJ flips to them, it won't be to duck competition.

Competition has increased at Clemson since he decided to go there. Truth is he still has another year before he has to sign anywhere. It wouldn't surprise me if he isn't done "transferring".

Clemson stocking up at quarterback through recruiting

Then we gotta figure out why he picked them in the first place. Your dance card's full for the next two years. Are you going to provide Trevor Lawrence with the same service? :)

If you don't know then don't complain about my comments. You've already been caught misquoting me.

Deshaun Watson picked early and his hs coach wouldn't let visiting coaches see Watson or even talk to him. His family was convinced to do that too by that hs coach. Not sure I'd use him as an example.

Your whole inference was that he was going to flip because we were loaded at QB. We were loaded BEFORE his commit and loaded AFTER. Your whole position makes no sense. I'm not sure what you need from us. If we apologize and tell you you're super smart, will you go back home and feed your kids?

Oh he was kidnapped? Dude! Kids have choices and they make them...deal with it.

The bottom line with this topic is that we might as well be talking in circles. I deal with teenagers 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The logic we apply towards why these KIDS make decision is often far too complicated and thorough. The reasons one individual teenager chooses a school could be so off the map it would be something we never even considered. So why did Johnson commit early to UT when it seemed a little strange? We do not know. Why did he then change his commitment an another strange moment? We do not know. And it could be literally any number of crazy reasons.

You haven't figured out anything...quit pretending. I quoted your sentiment...sounded better than your version...you're welcome. :hi:

It was a weird bump...for a weird reason. Weird of me to think I could reason. :loco:

You're missing the point. He didn't have the most exposure to other schools. Not saying he made a mistake just saying he was blocked from even talking to other schools by the people around him. It was just a bad example. Deal with it.

Don't need to. I refuse to believe they were able to "block access" to him. Young man looks pretty independent in the interviews I've witnessed.

I don't think he likes girls very much. Seemed like it was a putdown. :)

Sexist, IMO. Btw, I'm a woman and I hate when women play that card for no reason. Especially when Hillary does it. Most of the women in America hate her for it, except for the idiotic Democrats. Sorry for getting political, now back to recruiting 😁

I'm smarter than ANYBODY gives me credit for. :) I was able to figure out your gender...don't know what it was. :wink2:

I know several people very aware of Gainesville, Georgia and what occurred with Watson. You can chose to close your eyes to what im telling you but it doesn't change it. My information comes from a former UGA position coach. But no, do you. Use your blanket assumptions.

"A former UGA position coach" told you that Watson was practically salted away in a tower like Rapunzel? I think what you're calling "blanket assumption" is called reality back here on terra Earth.

You switched screen names btw. :wink2:

This coach has tried to show up at the high school to just talk and he'd be sent away. Your hyperbole is rather sophomoric
