That may be true for the majority of recruits, but Willis can go to any school he wants. He can pick any situation he wants, and while of course, anything can happen, Harbaugh, Meyer, Saban, Dabo, etc, those guys don't appear to be going anywhere soon. My point is that he could pick dozens of more stable, and successful situations than UK.
I see your point, and I agree that if you're looking for stability UK football would not be the best choice.
But how stable are any of the situations you mentioned really? Saban is rumored to be going to the NFL every off-season. I don't think he sticks around down there much longer (though when they hired him I didn't think he would be there more than 5 years, so TIFWIW). If he does bounce, Dabo is a top candidate at Bama. Meyer has a history of job hopping and "heart troubles." Harbough seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he goes. I just think stability is a very rare commodity these days. I don't know that there is a single program in the country I could look at right now, and say "yeah, I think they will still have the same head coach in five years." Certainly there will be some that do, but the coaching carousel just seems to get wilder and wilder every year. Sorry for derailing the conversation.
