I picked Tennessee because I have been liking them for a while, Bailey said. They are a good fit for me. I think I can come in up there and do big things. The recruiting process is pretty hectic and I just wanted to get everything over with.
The 6-foot, 175 pound Bailey is a four-star defensive back from Marrero, Louisiana who picked the Vols over Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss to name a few. Bailey has never been to Knoxville but felt really comfortable with the Vol staff. I have a really good relationship with coach Gillespie and coach Martinez, Bailey said. Coach Martinez came by to check on me in the spring and I think he is a really good DB coach. I like him and I think he's a good fit for me. And I like the way they play. I have been watching them on TV.
They like the way I play man-to-man defense, Bailey said. I'm an aggressive corner. They like the way I use my hands to separate the ball from the receiver. Bailey did visit Mississippi State and Ole Miss over the summer and will see Tennessee most likely in December.
The coaches were really excited when I talked to them today. I got to talk to all of them, Bailey offered. Coach Jones was really excited and said he couldn't wait to get me up there for a visit.
Bailey said he was unsure whether or not he would explore any other visits. His focus now outside of his football team is his academics. I'm trying to get into class and get it done, Bailey said. If I do then I can graduate early and be a mid-term enrollee.
