'17 LA RB Trey Coleman (UT signee)

But I'm not. You just read want you want to read. In this thread alone, I said I'm happy with most of our recruits, In numerous other threads, I've stated that I think Butch finishes strong in February. Also I'm predicting a 10-2 season.

Hey, don't backtrack now because you stepped in it. Questioning Butch's evaluation of a kid IS a shot at a kid. You don't think he's good. While you're entitled to your opinion, don't ***** up when Butchna calls you out for it.

I think it's absolutely reasonable to question the staffs evaluation of recruits. Have you seen how many they have taken commitments from only to drop them later? Do you know how many of those 350 or so recruits with UT "offers" sign with what we would consider lower tier schools? IMO it points to little "evaluation" being done early.

You can be sure that those saying don't question the coaches evals today will be giving 47 reasons it's cool to dump the same recruit closer to NSD.

I'm surprised our defense hasn't been called dirty. Not bc I believe they are but bc the odd fact that the following:

Marcus Lattimore, Todd Gurley, and Nick Chubb have all been injured at the hands of UT.

They are called dirty. A lot. I've seen those types of threads on both SC and UGA sites. Even saw a thread on a UK site after the Chubb injury last season claiming that UT defensive players are taught to go at the knees.

It's getting tough to be a DB. Can't tackle high or you get ejected for targetting, and apparently if you tackle low you are only trying to blow out a knee according to our rivals.

BlahBlahBlahBlah

Vol30 and I worked this out. He indirectly took a shot at the kid by playfully taking a shot at Butch's recruiting. He doesn't agree, but the tone and connotation were the key element. I'm sure he didn't formulate some grand scheme...it was a throwaway comment. But when a player "only" gains 38 yards in an EXHIBITION GAME and you needle people about "Butch knowing recruiting", you're directly calling the kid a hack...no funny way around it. Questioning the take of this kid is fair and part of what makes this forum work, but when you're trying to get a chuckle and a like? Watch the syntax. Our brave warriors who guard the sanctity of committable offers out of some self imposed pious code of conduct would seem to be tailor made for that line of thinking...unless they had a personal agenda and wanted another kid in that spot...so screw the one you don't want. :wink2:

You have absolutely beat every hair off that poor dead horse...

That is actually more of the perception among UGA fans. The talk is that UT started watering down their field heavily before Games to slow down the other team. I don't believe that, but you see huge pieces of turf flying up in those games.

You can add one of our receivers, Justin Scott Wesley to that ACL list in "Kneeland". That was funny btw.

Um...that would affect both teams and Tennessee is the team that wants to go as fast as possible. Why would we do something that would likely hurt us more than our opponent? That makes zero sense.

Keith Marshall. Gurley was not hurt against UT but missed a UT game because he was hurt beforehand.

I agree. But it was mentioned on here last season about huge pieces of turf flying up. Don't know what was up with the field last few years, but it wasn't good.

@JakeMartinSEC: One of the more entertaining one-yard scores you'll see. Coleman picks up loose ball and broke three tackles to score. WM 28, Woss 6, 10:36

Broke three tackles? Impossible! Were they impeding his path to the sideline? :wink2:

Turf was flying up because the root structure wasn't deep enough into the ground to prevent it. That's what the problem has been over the years. They re-sod the field every year, and aren't getting the grass' roots to take hold and grow deep to make it last through multiple football games over the course of a season.

Don't be throwing cold water on Ga's conspiracy by sticking facts out there.
