'17 OH WR Jaylen Harris (Ohio St. commit)

If they are only taking 2 WRs, we might get him.

The OSU class is ridiculous. 18 commits and 16 of the 18 are 4-5*. One of the two 3* kids is the #1 kicker in the country. Oscar Meyer killing it.

There's a reason they're a contender every single year, of course their usually weak conference helps too .

Trey Smith

We'll know on Jalen McKenzie in the next couple weeks. If he's playing well I think he's a Vol by mid September. This would mean dropping someone.

If OSU passes on Jaylen Harris I think we likely get him. If OSU takes him I think Payton is still in play. Taking a WR would trigger a decommit.

As of now, this is all I see happening. Butler or Clemons MIGHT be an option, but I think they may be more back up options if we have a DL commit bail on their own.

Its pretty quiet for us on the recruiting front. Or that's what I'm seeing anyway.

We'll get more than Trey Smith. But hes a must get.
I do believe 2 guys will be asked to look around.
Maybe one decommits.

I think we can take more than 25... so we might be in play for 5 more recruits.

I don't think Kmacs brother will be a vol.

“I love Tennessee,” he told SEC Country on Tuesday.

“Coach (Butch) Jones, Coach (Zach) Azzanni. He’s been recruiting me real tough. We’ve built a great relationship. Every time I go to Tennessee I just feel mad love.”

Harris and Azzanni have grown close, with UT’s receivers coach dipping into his resume to sell Tennessee.

“He actually coached Antonio Brown and Antonio is my favorite receiver,” Harris said, referring to Azzanni’s time discovering and developing Brown at Central Michigan.

“So that gives them a plus right there. I think Antonio is the best receiver in the NFL.”

Its crazy we could possibly finish with Smith, Akers, Wade, and Harris. and drop a few. end up with a possible top5-10 class.

This is a great WR prospect. This would somewhat make up for the loss of Tee Higgins IMO. Jaylen Harris is a legit 4*, so add him,Trey Smith 5*, and Lamont Wade who is a 4/5* player and this class looks A LOT better.

Edit: Forgot about Akers too! Gosh finishing with those 4 would keep us pretty high in the rankings!

If we were to add Smith, Wade, Harris, and Akers while "losing" say Bembry, Jones, and Burnam the new composite score would be 260.23. That should be good for right about 13th.

13th only if no one else improves their class right? Please do your due diligence and crunch a little harder companero

Of course it factors in other schools improving their classes. Since we have more commits than almost every class currently, of course others will improve. That 13th ranking is based on where we would be when all the classes are finished and full.

On Harris, I don't think it's as simple as that. People are just projecting that, in the end, Tennessee might have the best shot at him because of Ohio State's numbers situation. But I think Harris still is keeping an open mind, and Ohio State and Michigan State still are high on his list. Alabama and Penn State are in the mix, too, although I'm not sure where he is on Alabama's board. But with Ohio State's numbers looking tight, it's reasonable to assume Tennessee is at least one of the teams to beat.
