'17 TN ATH Jacoby Stevens (LSU commit)

The joke's on you if you really believe this is a joke. Your bias is more than obvious. They camp with you - they're good; they don't - they are untalented or have character issues. Coaches don't value/agree with your opinions - they're morons. You're self-righteous. The lack of ethics from someone in your position - not only a mentor, but also a confidant - is disturbing.

But yes, I apologize for my poor wording. Thanks for reminding us that Jacoby camped with you, I mean that Jacoby is good.

Look woman read everything I say and not what you choose to believe from posters on here. The kid in question camped with us on more tha. 1 occasion. Facts are facts and I'm not about to spat with you about who came or didn't come to a camp. Hahahaha lack of ethics. I've talked Higgins, Amari, Wade and several others sorry you can't accept that a recruit is over rated. I've spoken in the past on recruits and ppl were mad or butt hurt so your buckering bothers me none.

Kiffin's sense of entitlement is only fueled by opinions like this. There is no way you can legitimately say he left Tennessee or USC in better shape than he found them. The guy is a brilliant offensive mind, but has the maturity of a college freshman. Autonomous power and influence only further poison that. He can't handle the spotlight and pressure of being in charge. It's like handing the keys to a Porsche to an 8 year old.

Ok lets discuss this w/o UT bias. When he came to UT he had to purge the dead weight. A kot of guys went to S. Ala, N. Ala, HBCUs, D2, etc and still were not players or contributors. CPF had taken in a lot of over hyped kids that didn't pan out and were just wasting scholarships. He brought in a class tha was at the time highly ranked. In that 1 yr he dd not destroy UT. I mean hell look what he did with the roster he was dealt. Some of you obviously never had a dream job you always wanted. USC was and is a gold mine top 3 job in NCAA. When he takes it they lose scholarships and only get 15. My friend 15 scholarships per year and he still was recruiting top talent. Those years if Haden was smart should have been waived. No coach can win only bringing in 15 cholarships per year. This isnthe very reason many coaches in the SEC find way to maneuver around the 25 limit. The whole preseason rankings thing is kind of like the #9 ranking this yr. People guess then even if you win they drop you. When i saw it i laughed because they didn't even have 85 scholarship players and remeber due to sanctions guys left to transfer to other schools. So when he leaves Sark comes in and does what with full scholarships and talent already there. Take the over night flight out of it and think logically please ppl.

Well don't read what I say. You draw conclusions and have no basis or facts so get and don't respond. To me what you have said was wrong the 1st time and your wrong again.

You really might be a bigger douche than the non-original babyavi. I never thought anyone would surpass that.

If you would talk like this, people might be willing to listen more to your opinion. Thanks.

I think one reason many put Kiffin in the group that destroyed TN is because his highly ranked class didn't pan out. On top of that, he treated the position as a stepping stone job by being one and done. On top of that, he left like a coward in the middle of the night, then tried to poach our recruits on top of it. He's slimey.

He fails to mention he ran off two highly ranked qbs that went on to be hypesman trophy candidates.

The thing about recruits to LSU is by and large they aren't going there because of Miles or Orgeron or any of the coaches. They are going to LSU just because it's LSU. It's a Louisiana family thing.

Kiffin never left anywhere a disaster. UT fans that say stiff like this are still hurt. He brought in a top 5 class that contributed. Yes like a classes he had some that had to be let go charactr guys. That 1 yr didn't destroy UT. At USC he had to start all over and was short handed on scholarships. Haden was a train wreck and the true cause of the demise and fall of USC. Kiffin turned a crap qb into a pro qb at UT, he and his staff had to come in and cut dead weight players, then attempt to rebuild. The Raiders were who they were which is why he wanted out. What LSU would get is a hell of a qb coach/OC that can recruit his butt off which is easy to do at LSU because of the frtile recruiting grounds and no competition in state.

Wait, is this serious? A good class on paper on NSD means nothing. His class full of poor character recruits that were kicked out/left the program absolutely would classify as leaving it a disaster.

USC's sanctions were a result of rampant cheating that took place while Kiffin was an assistant coach there. It's not like he had no hand in that deal and was just given a raw deal.

At Tennessee, I had no problem with him leaving for USC. I did have a problem with HOW he did it and with what transpired immediately afterward. He was never a good fit at Tennessee because he never truly embraced the culture, pageantry, and history of Tennessee football, mainly because he never had intentions of it being a destination. His only recruiting class turned out to be a total joke (for whatever reason), and something like 4 players actually fulfilled their eligibility.

The work he did to make Crompton a viable QB was amazing. His offense and his staff's recruiting ability were obvious. But the guy just can't handle the power of being a head coach, though it's what he seeks. USC and Tennessee both wallowed in mediocrity after he left. Whatever the circumstances, he didn't grossly improve either situation for the next guy.

They will be along with UGA and Bama

What position are UGA and Bama recruiting him for? I think with his size and frame he is a perfect fit at SS at Tennessee. Or IYO is he more of a Free Safety?

Are you surprised UGA is such a big factor? Is it really ideal to have your DC doubling as the DB coach? That would seem to be a lot for one guy to take on and actually a hindrance to individual players development there.

Probably same kinda game as Todd Kelly Jr? You would think he would look at that role for himself.

He's a rangey S. Jacoby can play SS or FS. The reason I say FS is he has the speed, range, ball skills, and athleticism to pla the position kind of like Deon Grant. He can playbSS and come down and lay the boom like Duece White. Mel Tucker is the db coach but does more DC than DB coaching. He has an asst that actually coaches in the team vs team period while he coaches the over all defense making the calls.

JaCoby Stevens still is planning to be an LSU Tiger — at least for now.

Stevens, an Oakland senior and No. 2-rated safety in the country according to 247Sports, said Monday he remains committed to LSU despite the firing of coach Les Miles. “It’s still a defensive back university; it’s DBU,” Stevens said at the Patriots’ practice. “They still have coach (Corey) Raymond, the (defensive backs) coach and coach Austin (Thomas). I love him like a brother.”

...“I’ll pay attention to see who they hire as head coach,” said Stevens, who has 22 tackles and four interceptions through five games this season for the Patriots. “If they don’t mess with the defense, I’m still heading to Baton Rouge.”
