Wow, is Columbia Central a garbage team now? Just a few years ago they were consistantly one of the best in 5A.

They were stacked with talent (relatively speaking) for about a 4-5 year window. Put a lot of kids into D3 and D2 football programs, a couple into FCS schools, one into the ACC (now in the NFL), and one to UGA.

But Maury County just doesn't have the population to keep a 5A team on top year in and year out unless there's a truly great coach involved. And most of the money in TN HS football coaching is not found in Maury County, that's for sure.

They'll likely be down for a 3-5 year period before they're able to field a team talented enough to reach their old heights again.

very factual Darth and like I said before BIG time guys show up in all games not just against the poor little brother schools. He did nothing against Antioch who is just as bad, but let's talk when he makes it to Murfreesboro to play Oakland, Riverdale, and Blackman.

I'm not sure why you quoted me on this. I was just answering a question about what happened to Columbia after having a period of success. Wasn't trying to give you a starting point to advance your agenda.
