'17 TN ATH Maleik Gray (UT signee)

The next Jalen Ramsey?:)

Jalen was never committed to us. Plus, he's not going to visit FSU. He set up the date, but doesn't think he will go. He has said he felt comfortable there on a previous visit, but just hasn't established the family feel he has at UT.

Simmons knows Scouts days are numbered, so he's trying to generate revenue. Kind of like Parker yesterday.

The next Jalen Ramsey?:)

It's funny looking back in this thread to posts during the season several on here and people were questioning his ability due to stats plus how he seemed to get lost in games. You'd hear stuff like overrated, won't meet up to his ranking hype and that we won't perform well here.

Fast forward to now where it appears that he might take a visit somewhere else, all of a sudden he is the next Jalen Ramsey, a can't miss and if we lose him it's just another blunder to Jones and 3 Star U.

Get confused much VolNation?

FWIW. I do believe this visit smoke is what it is smoke. It's going to take a lot for this kid to back off his commitment here, you can tell it in the 247 article where he classify's UT's current defense as "we" and he sounds passionate. If he does swing to FSU I firmly believe a lot of it will be contributed to the negativity that has been spread by us a fan base and the media. Constant negativity kills with impressionable young people.

Sab keeps contacting him through multiple outlets, I'd be getting the heck out of Dodge too.

What can we do to get this creep out of the fanbase?

Welcome to VolNation. I would recommend to not take it too seriously. Everything will play out as usual.

I am concerned. If we lose him, that's a big blow, no doubt. I still don't think it's a damned bit funny.

There's folks in this thread that secretly want Gray to flip just so they can say, "I told you so" then laugh about it. Dumb fans we have indeed.

I wouldn't worry too much. I would like to see our recruiting go better just for the next coach that comes in. Butch may only be around 1 more year unless he pulls a diamond out his arse next year.

His buyout after next year will be $8 million. Unless we totally tank, he isn't going anywhere. I have not jumped off the train, yet, though, like everyone, I am very disappointed with how we finished the season.
