I think after Dabo lost Malone to Butch he turned up the heat bigtime on Higgins, not wanting to lose another 5 star to Butch. And clearly it really messed with Dabo and Clemson for them to encourage these kids to pull off elaborate trolls. It's insecurity from being stuck in the ACC and having cock fans in their faces about SEC SEC SEC all the time. Clemson is a very insecure fanbase, program and clearly coaching staff as well.

As for Tee, good luck to him but don't come back to TN in a few years looking for love. He won't get it.

It's insecurity. They play in a basketball conference and hate it. Clemson fans would give ANYTHING to join the SEC. It bothers the hell out of them that the cocks are in the SEC and the cocks flaunt that fact every chance they get. Those two programs are historically meh and now that Clemson has been on a nice run they don't know how to handle it, don't know how to act like they've been there...because well, they haven't. They've recruited very well so I don't see a big drop off anytime soon but let's see how they do without Watson because without him last fall they lose a few.

Yes, he didn't just burn the bridge, he nuked it and left a barren, radioactive wasteland. May even have an affect on his family and how they progress in their careers and life. I'm not condoning it but I see it happening.

I'm not too familiar with the stories of Vince and his problems. I've heard watson's arrogant to a dangerous level and that he may have a drinking problem. Is that what you've heard?

Living in SC, I can tell you its just not the players and coaches that have this cockiness to them. Its the fans too! I really hated to see them win the National Championship because the majority of their fans are dicks! You would have thought they had won 6 titles. The only player I like on Clemson is Renfrow. His dad was my AD in high school. But he is a humble kid. Not as arrogant as the other Clemson players.

Wow... When Tee started getting a lot of attention from Recruiting sites and colleges it was well known around OR that he was still one of the most respectful/humble kids you'd meet.

Only thing I can think of that would make him do something like lying to the coaches of his favorite school would have to be money related... Which I guess that explains the whole Lexus thing I posted last month and the rumors back in like July or August about the amount of money that Clem$on gave Tee.

I probably wouldn't either but will they get raises? Will they get promoted? I mean LeRoy Thompson claims he had difficulties coming home and he didn't act like a punk on the way out. LeRoy wanted to get away from bad influences here and most people I know understood that.

If local kid wants to leave, I don't have a problem with that. They need to lead their lives the way they see fit. But, if you're going to leave, just leave. Don't make an ass out of yourself on the way out.

Yup. And after losing out on Malone I think Dabo and staff made it clear to the bagmen that they needed to sign Tee no matter what. Outbid UT no matter the cost. Just another example of what really goes on behind the scenes in big time CFB.

Yep, it's dirtier than many believe. I realize all big-time programs have their "recruit procurement engineers" but some have bigger budgets than others.

Oh my god all of this. They have the worst fans I've ever interacted with. I was at the beach with a bunch of them when Tee committed and they wouldn't not stfu. They don't know how to handle success at all

And it won't end with Higgins either. With the amount of highly ranked players in the state of TN in '18 look for Clemson to be very involved. They've tried to get involved with Cade Mays. And they're after Emerson and Harris and I'm sure they'll be more.

Butch needs to play the game and shine a light on Clemson's recruiting practices. Not that anything would come of it, but it would put eyes on their program.

I one hundred percent agree. I like how Rietmier(sp?)went about it. Tee Higgins career can rot for all I care.

Really wish people would let SC and Vandy die, that had nothing to do with getting or not getting Tee. It was obviously money or something similar behind the scenes.
If he wants to go to Clemson, fine, but the troll job is totally classless and a punk move.

He may think it's funny or cool now but the day will come when he regrets the way he handled the whole process. Hope he likes it in SC because things will never be the same for him at home..

Butch deserves a lot of critiscm over his coaching but it's very disrespectful for Higgins to lie to Butch about being a Vol instead of just being straight forward about it. Not that it matters anymore but that's just being a coward.
