The three-star senior safety from Overton High School in Nashville, Tenn., said both Louisville and Kentucky have talked with him in recent weeks, but hes still strong in his commitment to Tennessee and doesnt expect to change his mind about playing for the Vols.
Im still strong with Tennessee. But it seems Louisville and Kentucky are still trying, said Jackson[.]
For now, Jackson said hes still firm to Tennessee after attending five of the Vols seven home games this season, and he already knows everything he needs to know about the program going into his planned official visit with the Vols the weekend of Jan. 20.
Im just ready to get up there now, really, he said.
Since Ive spent time with the players, Ive developed a brotherly bond, I guess, and I talk to them more and ask them how it feels to be coached by them, Jackson said. And they said theyre going to coach you hard, but they love it.
When I talked to (defensive backs) coach (Willie) Martinez about it, he said it really doesnt matter where Im going to start at, Jackson said. I might start out at safety, but Im still going to learn the other positions, as well.
