17 TN DB Theo Jackson (UT signee)

Not for me. It's been a long time since I've looked forward to seeing a player as much as I want to see Gaulden. Like Brent Schaffer/Eric Berry/Justin Hunter type anticipation.

That is a great list, I would throw Jamal Lewis in there as well. Of course Peyton has to be #1. Still have the vision of him trotting out against UCLA in the opener that year.

I was the only person in the world who thought Jamal Lewis would be a bust. When we were in HS he got caught shoplifting in Atlanta, and got chased down by a 40 year old mall cop. Turned out that Jamal wasn't slow, the mall cop was REALLY fast.

Well he's played a lot of college football, so I can see how you could draw that conclusion.😒😒

Just think Jennings would be a perfect fit at strong safety in the Shoop defense. Brash, confident, ball-hawking type of player who could be a force. Doubt he gets moved though.

He sucked that game! Helton and Stewart represented better...that day.

Great story. Saw Jamal play at Douglass many times. UGA probably could have had him but chose Jasper Sanks instead...and the rest is history!

There was just something special about seeing Peyton trot out for the first time. He had all the hype. You wanted to see what he looked like in a UT uniform...even if it was road white.

The only trip I've ever made to California was to see that game. It was just nauseating to see Colquitt go down like that.

Hated to see that as well. He was finally getting his opportunity. I think everybody felt bad for him.

Jennings with his size, speed, range, and hitting ability would simply dominate at safety. Plus the former QB has good instincts. I just don't get it but Butch has a plan. Byrd has big time DB written all over him and displayed it in the AA All-American game.
