'17 TN DL Rutger Reitmaier (Oregon commit)

I think he can play DT but I am white. So, what does that make me? Seriously, when are both black and white going to stop looking at black and white and just look at people.

On the other hand, you can have a football opinion regardless if accurate or not about a position and your opinion and it doesn't mean you are a racist or making a racist analysis, if in your opinion, you feel a guy should play a different position. De1 gets to see these guys and has a more educated opinion than most on a guys talent and perhaps his better position. But, even a more person with less football knowledge who has a difference of position does not mean it's because of color. The only one bringing up color is walken. That is a judgement of others that it seems with your comments, is very racially motivated. Black, White, Green, or yellow polka dots, I don't care what if you can play football and represent the University well, then come on and play.

My son was shocked recently, when two kids who were adopted by white couples and one child is black and the other is from the Phillipines, and he overheard they were adopted. He thought they were his biological parents. I am proud of that. It is the place Dr. King wanted us to get too. Time for folks of every background who are adults to figure it out and stop the education of prejudice in them.

Great post! Promotion of race today is purely for political reasons.

I promise he impressed me more at OG thN DT and seriously i don't thk he's an SEC DT

I disagree. He may not be a high SEC talent DT prospect, like Kmac or Tut, but he does have at least Danny O'Brien potential. Danny O is not great, but he holds his own. You need those guys too. I would like to stack up 5* DTs like cordwood too. But realistically it probably ain't gonna happen.

jmo

i think his build lends him to be more of a sde. Keep his weight where it's at, add some strength and explosion, and he could wreak havoc on the edge with his speed.

That's about the least moranic thing you've ever posted. I'm so proud of you. You've come so far.

I'm a Lipscomb grad and have a friend who knows the Reitmaier family very well. From what I've been told, I'll be shocked if he goes anywhere other than UT, but, Rutger wants to play defense and wants to make sure his first look is at DT.

No matter what, Reitmaier will get his first look on the defensive side of the ball here at UT. If that doesn't work out then OG might be in the cards.

Even if he ends up at OG that fills a big need. They didn't sign any interior lineman last year. Need 2-3 good ones this year IMO.

I agree. I think the plan with him should be to take him, try him at DT for a season, if it becomes clear his future isn't there, then move him to OG.

Most of the time that's coach speak. Coaches have to say what they feel to get a kid where the feel he'll really project to help the team. Remember the Randall Cobb situation, CPF said no to trying him at qb, but Ky said we'll give it a shot and he went there. The kid will be a very good OG and probably play on Sunday too.

Totally agree. With the need at DT as well he definitely should get his first shot there. If that doesn't work out, then he fills another big need at OG. It's a great situation for him. Really hoping they can also land Trey Smith and Brahms as well.
