So basically, he was with my brother and two of his fraternity bros at Dobbs house Saturday night. He told them all that night he was a Vol. I'm not going to tell everything because I'm sure it could start a $hit show, but just know they had a good time lol. Thank Phi Delt and Dobbs if you're looking for someone to praise. :hi:

Maybe if you didn't have an arrogant attitude you would come off as more likeable.

On a serious note, people shouldnt pile on and question peoples fanhood for having a difference of opinion, which is all I ever had. Im a vol fan just like everyone else here. Just didnt have a good feeling on this guy and had logical reason for my opinion. Happy to be wrong. UT fan base is very touchy. No worries though, like I said I dont follow recruiting closely just this one because I think it was a good indication to the direction of the program.
People interpret things on the internet however they want and thats cool, this fanbase is very fickle, rightfully so after the last decade. When I read an opinion on here, I try to interpret it with these thought of - the person saying it is a vols fan and wants what is best for the program just like be, we just disagree on how to get there."

Its all good though, good way to turn the image of the program. A good showing in the MCB is.crucial now.

BREAKING: 5-star OL Trey Smith commits to Tennessee

It would have perhaps gone down as Urban Meyer’s biggest recruiting coup since he has been at Ohio State. However, offensive linemen Trey Smith from Jackson (Tenn.) University School has announced a commitment to Tennessee.

Butch Jones and the Volunteers won a fierce recruiting battle over Ohio State and Alabama, the two schools that were considered Smith’s other finalists by many.

The 6-foot-5 and 302-pound Smith is a dominating offensive lineman who is projected to play tackle in college and has the potential to one day be an All-American.

Smith is a 5-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. In addition to being the country’s No. 4 overall 2017 prospect, he is the country’s No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 1 prospect in Tennessee.

In July Smith narrowed his long list of scholarship offers down to six schools, Ohio State, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson and Notre Dame.

Smith made official visits to Alabama, Ohio State and Tennessee in the past month. He made his Ohio State visit the weekend of Nov. 26 and was in Ohio Stadium as the Buckeyes won a thrilling 30-27 double overtime victory over Michigan that ultimately sent the Buckeyes to the college football playoff.

But Smith’s final official visit was to Tennessee this past weekend. He has been to Tennessee many times and his older sister Ashley Smith is a Tennessee graduate who works on the Vols’ staff as the executive assistant to Jones.

The recruiting sites are all over the place with this kid. As high as #1 (ESPN) to as low as #59 (Rivals).

Anybody know why?

Probably one of the reasons was mentioned by his coach. He didn't camp much except for the Opening. Coach said that he is a team player and stayed home the entire summer for team workouts. Missed one workout for the Opening.

Seriously though, if you don't follow recruiting or know much about it, don't be throwing around the type of BS that you did. I have followed recruiting for 17 years now, and you pick up things over the years. And no, I am not on Twitter or Facebook and follow thee kids. I just follow who we recruit.

We all want what is best for UT, but you came around with an attitude that wasn't warranted. There are more realistic people in these parts, and we would have indicated if this was going to be a tough pull or not. The signs were there forever in this recruitment.
