ey everybody,
I'm sure many are disappointed with the Crosby decision and were hoping he would stay closer to home and pick the Hokies. I'm not going to get to do a breakdown of him, but I thought I would share my two cents on him as a prospect and that it could maybe soften the blow.
It's just my opinion, but I thought he was a guy who was a lot closer to a 3 star prospect than the high ranking he had from a lot of different places. Although he is a good athlete for a big young man, I think he was more of a project as a defensive line prospect than anything else. While his ceiling may be high, I think he has a long way to go to be a player at the next level based off of his film and seeing him at the Army Combine back in January. I just don't see the first step, snap anticipation, or anything violent with his hands that suggest he is close to being a disruptive player at the next level.
He still could very well end up being a nice player in college, but I think he was far from a slam dunk prospect.
