'17 VA DT/ATH Eric Crosby (UT signee)

Lol @ choosing VT over Tennessee right now.

The problem is if a kid is truly torn then an opposing team having the ability to push doubt in a situation like the lawsuit can be a tipping point for a kid to stay local if all things even. Fuentes is a heck of a coach and Foster is a top DC. Va tech used to always keep those kids in house so it's not really a suprise if he doesn't leave the state

I'm skeptical that the doubt from the lawsuit could overcome all the things we can sell over them. I mean, it's no contest at this point. They aren't even winning more than us anymore.

Does he really want to watch his future school Virginia Tech get their ass whooped by Tennessee this year? Lol

For real though, if this plays out this way, our struggles with signing big-time DTs this and last class are a little frustrating.

Lawsuit is not that big a factor however being told by Tech that you can come in and immediately play there or go to UT and sit behind McKenzie and Tuttle for at least a year is.

DL rotates so much if he's good enough he's going to play immediately. But I get the point

I feel like it's pretty simple why recruiting isn't going as we expected. For one we can no longer sell early playing time, for the most part. And two butch can no longer sell his vision, kids want to see wins now. Even though we won 9 last year we haven't really won the big games. Win this season and we'll be fine

I think that played behind Tuttle and McKenzie is a good thing. He'll be so much better with them showing him the ropes. Very rare to jump right in and look spectacular.

Lawsuit probably a factor

Is this going to be the excuse of the year? VT had a MASS SHOOTING not too long ago, how long was it their excuse?

I know, not the best comparison but give me a break if you would rather go to VT because of this ambiguous Title IX lawsuit then more power to you.

Lawsuit is probably factoring in. LWS recently said that the lawsuit is killing recruiting right now

Probably 95% or more of American Colleges and Universities are currently defendants in litigation, yet somehow students still matriculate to those fine institutions.

Because those suits aren't national news. Everyone knows about our bunk trial, but hardly anyone knows that Baylor and many other schools are going through the same or worse.
