'17 VA DT Jordan Williams (Clemson commit)

It may not mean much but Williams did re-tweet Chuck Smith this morning... "Gonna be fun. #Vols #VFL"

The tea leaves (reading between the lines) seem to point Clemson's way on this one but I don't think he's a silent commitment yet.

To be accurate Jordan Wililams didn't say it was going to be fun that is what chuck smith tweeted. Williams just RTd it.

Thought you were saying Williams said that. Lot of you don't know the twitterverse very well. Congrats :hi:

I'm one of those that admittedly doesn't know the twitterverse very well, but I knew exactly what he meant. Looking back at the post afterwards, it appears that the only one confused by it was you. So maybe, in fact, you are the one in need of a lesson.

Re-tweet......When someone re-sends a tweet that was originally sent by someone else. It can either be sent out with the intention of being a response or an acknowledgement if you will, or with the intention of passing it on for others to read too.

Hope this helps. :hi: :)

Dooley

I'd be shocked if he had any beef with Butch and the university

Not gonna lie... I just watched the full epic of Chuck Smith's goodbye interview after he left Tennessee under Dooley. I was hoping it would make more sense after these many years, but it's still just as odd today.

He thanked Dooley a lot, and said he had no ill towards him. He had lots of kind words for the offensive staff, but really did not get along with the defensive staff.

If you've never watched it, pour a scotch, and have a look at this.

I always think back to the timing of the video. Didn't the people recording him catch him immediately after he 'stepped down'? Personally, I think he wanted to say a lot more and was struggling internally. He took the high road, but as a VFL I'm sure he wasn't happy seeing what the inept coaches he was working with was doing to the program.

I will not be surprised to see him back at Tennessee coaching under Butch somewhere down the road, when Stripling decides to retire.

I have no recollection of any of this...why did he step down?

Allegedly he and Wilcox got into it. I believe I recall Smith may have even punched Wilcox.

Ahhhh the good old days. When VN sweated about who would replace Wilcox when he got a HC job, or would we lose Dooley to Georgia. Apparently we had ZERO idea what was going on behind the scenes.

Williams is retweeting all of this Clemson stuff with Tee. We gonna lose him too. To Clemson. That will be 5 they've taken

Clemson is doing to us what we did to Miami last year.

Come on now, Leb. That's not even close to accurate. We got a 2* WR and a 4* ATH. They are doing WAY worse to than we did to Miami. A 5* QB, 4* RB, 5* WR, and 4* WR versus our "doing Miami bad" is not even comparable.
