'18 AL DE Coynis Miller

So his last visit is UF but this seems like a AU and UT battle with us needing to make up ground.

We get the second to last visit and after he visits AU.

Knoxville is second? I’m pretty sure Lexington and Baton Rouge have bigger populations.

Lexington is bigger only because there is no quote, unquote city limit. It includes all of Fayette County because they have a combined city/county government. If you included all of Knox County, Knoxville is significantly bigger, 25-30% I'd say.

And FSU, LSU, etc.

Tennessee is always top 5 in facilities rankings. With the rise in in-state talent, UT is a pretty easy school to recruit to.

...and Atlanta to the south, Charlotte to the east, and Virginia to the northeast. And we are a national brand.

The days of “Tennessee is a hard school to recruit to excuses” are over!

Do we have a good chance to flip Miller from Auburn?

I would say the chances are pretty low given history of covering recruiting and Rodney Garner who is recruiting Miller.

Now if he flips it will be the to the Vols as he likes Pruitt and Chris Rumph alot. Tennessee is going to get him on campus which will give them a legit shot.

Yep. In state, plus the immediate regional talent is now off the charts.

Coynis Miller remains committed to Auburn but also remains unsigned. Saturday, he spoke about his intentions to visit both Florida and Tennessee before making things official with the Tigers on signing day in February.

Asked point-blank which schools have a chance to pry him away from Auburn, the four-star defensive tackle’s response matched his visit itinerary.

“Tennessee does if I go down there and I just love it,” Miller said. “Tennessee does for sure, and I’m going to go back down to Florida and see what (Dan) Mullen is talking about. I guess that’s it; just Florida and Tennessee.” Miller said that Tennessee’s resurgence as it relates to his recruitment stems from its decision to hire former Alabama assistant Jeremy Pruitt, with whom Miller has a relationship.

This was done so that the large horse farms and horse training facilities, that are beyond wealthy, would have to pay city taxes .
