'18 AL LB Jacquez Jones

I haven't got that far yet

I am very grateful for my kids. They are great kids and a blessing in my life.

That being said, there are times when I want to put a nice piece of duct tape across their little mouths. Lol.

Agree.

And I know when you say "at times", you mean "all the times."

We'll I have three girls. Mostly what I hear is, "Words words words words words. Ok Dad?"

Me: "Uh huh..... wait. What?"

Per Hubbs

Even though Alabama linebacker Jacquez Jones has hinted at a decision, don’t expect him in Tennessee’s class at this time. The tweets from Vol commitments earlier in the week were about Jones in hinting at a decision on Friday as multiple commitments confirmed to Volquest on Thursday.

It seems like the staff is not going to rush to take a LB commit this early in this year's class.

I am not sure why Hubbs felt it was necessary to mention any names in this discussion.

First off, it leads to a ton of speculation on the reasons why it is happening and is now putting Jones in a bad light with some of the fan base.

Poor form by Hubbs in my opinion.

It's his job to give inside info. He can't be cryptic about EVERYTHING.

It's his job to provide information to the fans when it is made available. No doubt on that. But, I think along with that responsibility comes a need to be careful about what he says.

With that one paragraph, he has not only put Butch Jones in a bad position, he has also given credence to those who were ready to pounce on a commitment by Jacquez Jones as taking someone that was too low rated.

It will be interesting to see what happens if Jacquez ultimately ends up committing to someone else and becomes an all American. People will blame coach Jones for letting him get away when he should have known what he had.

I will edit the previous response to add this : Either Hubbs got scammed or Brendan Harris committing came as a complete surprise. I guess this sorta throws into question some of what he said last night.
