'18 AL OLB Matthew Flint (Former UT commit 8/2/17)

No argument there. I've been shocked at how much we've struggled to recruit highly rated LB's the last few classes. I do wonder if some other coaches / support staff play a bigger role in who we target though. Some really seem to like project types who they think can project well way down the road. Who knows. Thig used to pull elite talent every single year, including his first few years at UT.

I initially had this thought but when I think of players we have Recruiting ain't the issue at Lb. Development has been. It's also only two spots to recruit for consistently as nickel is our true base.

Kirkland, Bituli, Smith, Sapp, Bates, Ignont, Reid, and Cortez were all 4 star highly recruited players.

Page - I can't remember but think he may have been bumped to 4 star on a site by NSD.

Jumper was a walk on. Berry was a package deal with Evan.

Guys before them in JrM and aJ and Maggit were highly recruited 4 stars that had injuries or investigation hurt their stock heading into draft.

Wow, so we have our choice of the two most irrelevant recruiting sites. Sweet!!

It's like voting for the Presidency.

Flint reminds me of Maggitt. Both in appearance and size coming out of high school. I think Maggitt was a little more explosive at this stage though.

Oh wow didn't know that. Scout is kinda redundant now. Sucks the relevancy out of the composite even more I'd say.

The Scout page is now laid out identically to the 247 page...

Lists the Composite score
Shows the Crystal Balls
Displays the exact same Time Line feature

Why even have Scout now?

Its all about potential, give me a skinny kid who hasn't begun to peak to some 240 lb kid in high school who's best playing has already happened.
