They're not even close to being "neglected." Despite the Manning sycophants, the Titans have sold out every game since LP Field was established (formely Adelphia/The Coliseum).

i know that, i lived in nashville when they first came to TN, Nashville is crazy for the titans, but it doesn't seem to be a statewide thing

That's funny, everytime I'm in Memphis I see several Vince Young jerseys and Titans hats walking down just about every street corner.

Uh. It's all Tigers basketball out here, if anything. The only people pulling for the Titans are kids at UT-Memphis that come from elsewhere.

Just as most people across this state couldn't care less about Manning and the Dolts.

Don't think it's really been argued that they are the official team of this state. They are much more popular than you indicate with this post, however.

Not really sure what the Mannings have to do with this particular argument, but now that you mention them, yeah, Young will never be on either Manning's level. Actually I could see Vince in an Old Ben Franklin Motors commercial here in Knoxville or something.

Unbeknownst to your dismal reading comprehension, I've only mentioned one Manning in this thread.

I'm not disputing their popularity throughout Tennessee, just letting a few here know the Titans get plenty of statewide love.

I don't think anyone is going to say otherwise. There just happens to be one poster in this thread that acts as if a Tennessee resident that isn't also a Titans season ticket-holder might as well be a Satan worshipper.

No, I just think they're colors and nickname suck. Plus, I went to last season's Patriots game in Nashville and I found many of their fans to be very annoying and redneck. Additionally, I've never ever liked their core players; The Freak, Betty George, Nancy Thigpen, and Vince Young just to name a few.

I would probably have thrown at least some of my support behind the Oilers when they moved to Nashville, but unfortunately they had the poor grace to call themselves the "Tennessee _______s" instead of the "Nashville ____s." There's only one team that plays Tennessee football, and they don't wear powder blue. Screw the Titans.
