I would probably have thrown at least some of my support behind the Oilers when they moved to Nashville, but unfortunately they had the poor grace to call themselves the "Tennessee _______s" instead of the "Nashville ____s." There's only one team that plays Tennessee football, and they don't wear powder blue. Screw the Titans.

Thank you.

I don't think anyone is going to say otherwise. There just happens to be one poster in this thread that acts as if a Tennessee resident that isn't also a Titans season ticket-holder might as well be a Satan worshipper.

Some of the Titan faithful have always had a problem with the strong Manning/Colts following across the state.

They just need to accept that real Tennessee football is much bigger and more deeply rooted than Oiler foosball, and some are going to continue rooting for a Tennessee legend over all the Oilers.

There are an awful lot of Navy guys that still love the Cowboys simply because Roger Staubach played for them. Sometimes that's just how it goes. The Titans are still new to Tennessee. If they hang around for a generation or so, they'll have plenty of fans.

I've been here a couple of years and I must say the support is nowhere near what I saw while living in Knoxville or visiting Nashville.

It's not. Lived in Memphis my whole life, and the Titans aren't popular in Memphis. Sure there's a few fans, but nothing substantial.

I like Dallas for what they did for UT during our "Marshall period".

(trying to be PC about it, dont know how to word it better?) Still root for the Colts, though!

We'll agree to disagree. After selling out their stadium since it's opening kickoff, I'd say Tennessee's fan support is just fine.

I'm sure it is, but I doubt it is near the level that teams like the Steelers or Eagles enjoy. Once you have kids that grow up learning to love the Titans because of their dads, you'll see more fans.

You guys need to get over this Manning worship though, Eli never even played for us, we've got an NFL team here in TN we should support them instead of everyone bowing down at the Colts feet just cause Peyton plays for them.

Go Redskins!!!
