'18 CA CB Olaijah Griffin (USC signee)

I think TKjr should have been a linebacker.

I think people are too quick to write off these players. Maybe he never lives up to his potential, but reminiscing about what could've been when they are still in college and have a chance to prove themselves with new coaches could be a bit soon. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember him looking too slow for safety his freshman and soph years.

I think he bulked up too much and lost what little quickness he had IMO.

Announcers mentioned during the game that he said tennessee is the leader by alot. I saw film on this kid months ago and thought he was a very nice player. Would be big to have him sign here. Pruitt knows what type of players it takes to win big.

🤔🤔trying to figure out who you are and how you figured out who I am.

Edit: read three of your posts and I’ve already figured it out! What’s up my man!

Haha, I knew you would! Nothing much man, just feeding the daily appetite of news on Peterson and Griffin. This and fishing is all that keeps me sane from workin! Hope all is well with you my friend.

Indeed. Same to you. Nice seeing someone I know on here. I’ll know from now on it’s you!

Meanwhile, after spending several days down in Orlando at the Under Armour All-American Game, Tennessee is in great shape for 4-star cornerback Olaijah Griffin. The California native told VolQuest.com that he considered signing early with Tennessee and that the Vols have “very big lead.” Right now, Southern Cal appears to be Tennessee’s only real competition for Griffin. While he plans to visit Michigan, Auburn and UF, the feeling among multiple sources is that the only school Griffin will leave California for is Tennessee.

Griffin spent a lot of time around Vols wideout signee Alontae Taylor in Orlando, and that connection has added an element of comfort for a kid considering moving across the country. Tennessee’s depth chart at CB — now with another spot open after Gaulden announced his decision to go the NFL — is most appealing to Griffin.

The Vols hope to close with at least three more defensive backs this cycle — two corners and a safety. Griffin, Eddie Smith, Issac-Taylor Stuart, Nikko Hall, Rayshad Williams (Vandy commit), Joshua Moore and C’Bo Flemister are all potential options/targets.
