'18 CA CB Olaijah Griffin (USC signee)

TKJr is a first class young man but he’s not a 4or 5 star SEC football player.

I agree, I just remember he was top 100ish in his class. I think I was more excited about getting him at the time because we were used to the Dooley "diamond in the rough" recruits.

He's an exceptional football player, imo... just happens to have a slower 40 time than I do at 31 years old.

Clemson is a finalist for that kid from IMG. Pretty sure a pair of his team mates have also already signed with Clemson.

This might just be an "in case" offer.

He was #66 overall at one point

Anyone else think that he was so infatuated with us because he hadn’t been to other places? I only say this because he mentioned that he hadn’t even been considering being outside of California til now and I wasn’t sure what other visits he’s taken throughout the year. Hope we get him.

I thought that, but don’t discount the relationship he’s building with Alonte this week. It’s not just a visit now.

Griffin, who recently mentioned that Tennessee is his top school despite his UCLA commitment. Has excellent instincts, things that can’t be taught, at the cornerback position

He’s long, he’s fast, he plays the ball well and he has a chance to be in the five-star discussion.

Honestly I believe that TK is one of the players that our broken S&C program betrayed the most. As a freshman, he had athleticism and range. I still remember the lunging pick he had on the sideline against Vandy - incredible play. Then he got less and less athletic in his time here.

I wish we could have a do-over with that kid... get him a real S&C program that knows how to motivate and develop young athletes. I think we’d be having a very different conversation about his football ability.

I think that is on him individually to some extent, if he lost his athleticism. Of course, it is a sad testament to the state of Tennessee football (of the recent past) as well when multiple players get worse, instead of better, after they have been on campus for a year or two.

I guess you can't force a player to work out, but there should be a culture of players living there in the Winter time, and giving it there all there, just like on the practice field.

We have got to get that back, if we are going to compete for anything. I am confident that this will happen quickly with coach Pruitt.

I remember some on here thought he could play RB because he was running circles around those small school kids. lol

I member! Enough to make a thread about it.

Asante Samuel, the Florida State signee, is having a good week and has been very consistent. The same can be said for UCLA commitment Olajiah Griffin, who recently mentioned that Tennessee is his top school despite his UCLA commitment. Both players have excellent instincts, things that can’t be taught, at the cornerback position.

Who raised their stock?
