defensive backs (3-4)
two months ago, tennessee had five defensive backs committed, but now it has none. That will change over the next month. With four contributors exiting the program (justin martin, emmanuel mosley, shaq wiggins and rashaan gaulden), the vols must restock the secondary and pruitt is targeting several blue-chip prospects. Former ucla commit olaijah griffin holds tennessee as his leader, and if the vols can withstand the official visit to southern cal, then the 4-star corner looks likely to end up on rocky top, per sources. Tennessee will also officially host several of its top targets in the coming weeks, including eddie smith, 5-star isaac taylor-stuart and rayshad williams (vandy commit). Ideally, tennessee hopes to sign 2-3 true corners and a safety. California athlete nikko hall, who hails from casey clausens former school in calabasas, is currently the top target at safety.
I think we get Griffin and Hall.
I think keeping Eddie Smith's attention after the Bama offer is going to be the harder fight. His twitter has been nothing but Bama since he was offered.
It's a new offer so henis excited but this is where relationships can win you a battle over emotion. Smith trained under JJ McClesky and trained with Labruzza. He was one of Pruitts very first offers immediately after he got this job and he was recruiting him at Bama already but had not been allowed to offer so he offered as soon as he was a HC. That stuff can matter come NSD. Wide open playing time don't hurt either

I loved Olaijah Griffin's swag and confidence going against some of the best wide receivers in the country. He showed great short-space quickness and he had a great performance in press coverage. With Brevin Jordan, he was arguably the most consistent performer on his team from start to finish. His hands were golden and he moved much better than some may have expected.
