JMO but I think it's a desperation type move.
We tried hard to get him to sign in December and he wouldn't. He now is hot with usc so Pruitt had to use his visit now to try one last time to get him to pull the trigger before moving on.

Price said yesterday that OG told staff he is still very much interested in UT, so don't really see this as a desperation move. I think last night was a lot about easing any concerns mom and dad have and also letting OG that UT still wants him very much.

I named football reasons why the kid should choose UT. Staying close to home is to please his mom. That is not a valid reason. Let these kids grow up and cut cord.

Maybe so. I just think we were oh so close to getting him To pull the trigger in December and missed our window.

if we did miss it, he'd of signed with someone else. or stayed committed to UCLA....or would have committed to USC since then. that he hasn't, is a positive.

the longer this goes on, the better it is for us.

this staff needed time with some of these guys, and they're getting it now.

I wouldn’t say desperation. Think of it this way. Would you like the family to have more days to convince OG to stay in Southern California, or get coach Pruit in there earlier to start changing minds

I do think it's a good sign for the future that on short notice Pruitt and Co thought of that plan for early NSD. Strategery

Or maybe being close to home is important to him. Or maybe there are other factors we don't know about. Every decision in life doesn't revolve around football.

One of the 247 national guys that came from scout apparently talked to Warren G. He will have more later but apparently Pruitt was "Very Impressive" and "showed them the real "sh!t on how he runs his defense"..... said they clearly see why he is so dominant on defense

I’d assume he paid due respect to Pendergast but JUST HAPPENED to have video of Bama’s game against the Trojans and how he envisions their young man playing in that scheme.

no, it just shouldn't be THE reason they stay home....let the kid make the decision, it's his future. and that may mean he decides to stay home....or he might want to leave the nest. let him decide which.
