'18 CA CB Olaijah Griffin (USC signee)

Only when they make them in our favor.

If they go against us, it’s guys just guessing and no one knows anything.

Sure, the CBs indicate that USC probably gets Griffin, but they’re wrong frequently also. Not picking UT, but acting like he’s gone because the majority of people project USC doesn’t guarantee he won’t be here.

Nothing is a guarantee. When it's a runaway percentage wise on CBs I have not personally seen one where they are wrong though. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened but it's got to be less than 5% of the time.

Of course it’s not a guarantee, most of those guys don’t know crap.

Just funny to see everyone flip out when we get a CB for a guy we want but when a bunch come in for a guy going the other way it’s not a big deal because they’re usually wrong.

Prolly because they can't wrap their heads around why he'd go to school at Hickville in the Deep South.

Vol.

Knoxville isn't Starkville, for heaven's sake.

Just trying to pass along what the thought is out here, we don't mock any program's chances of landing a SoCal player. Too many recruits have family all over the country, as you all noted, OG's roots are in the south, like a lot of our players.

The greatest thing about CFB is the regionalism, the cultural differences, and what recruits look at in selecting a program/university.

If you think I'm blowing hot air, So be it. My twitter account is under the same handle as this site.

Thank you for coming here every day and telling us we're not going to get this kid, Trojan Princess. This hobby of yours truly is a public service.

We'd be lost in a world of delusion without you.

I don't recall you answering the question as to if OG was such a HUGE USC fan then why did he originally commit to UCLA.

It's kind of a pointless question and someone else already answered it. It was the coaches UCLA had before Chip Kelly. We've had a bunch of kids grow up Tennessee fans that go to other schools. Happens everywhere every year.

Crystal balls mean nothing when they come in randomly over time. When they come in batches like they are right now its the staff tipping their hand at articles already written.

If he has gotten 5+ to USC in the last couple days, its over and the article is already ready to be posted.

Or it means that a couple of guys made their predictions and everyone else is following suit. He will more than likely end up at USC, but I believe these predictions are based on a best guess rather than some inside knowledge. The kid himself has said he wants to stay home this weekend and discuss it with his family.

Tennessee has visited with him this week for the final time face to face. They are getting into decision making mode. I think Southern Cal and Tennessee are positioned at the top.

There has always been the belief it’s hard to get him out of the city. TN coaches continue to have steady dialogue with him and the two sides have seen each other in the last 24 hours. Vols are still in it but it has always boiled down to his ability to leave home.

It happens all the time bc people can switch any time they want too.

That's all good stuff, but with all due respect. I didn't ask you.

We’ve had our share of trolls from other fan bases, but I’ve read nothing from her other than discussion/perspectives related to a commonly sought after recruit.

Seriously, what the hell is with all of you berating her with the sarcastic and insulting posts? This is a discussion board... that’s all she’s trying to do here.

we were never getting this kid.

Tennessee has to win some ball games.

What has USC done as of late? They got obliterated on national TV against Ohio State with a team of comparable talent. Has nothing to do with records or accomplishments, this scenario has everything to do with the fact that Griffin is a Cali kid and his family wants to be able to see him play. Imo, Griffin is torn and really wants to be at UT, but also likes USC enough that he's willing to compromise to make his family happy.
