Agreed. The guy has to make the right choice this time because it really looks bad when you decommit more than one time. Let him take a little time. I really feel good about where we are here.

Lol. Sounds to me like you and maybe some fans took a line from a story and blew it out of proportion. Now they are disappointed and you think you caught VQ slipping but didn't......again.

I heard they got to talking in their meeting about sandwiches and Canales said he doesn't like imitation cheese slices. Conversely, Martinez claimed his mom always made him grilled cheese with imitation cheese and wouldn't eat it any other way. Needless to say, this ended the conversation awkwardly and on a bad note.

Bottom line: the meeting didn't go as well as we thought and Canales will now have an uphill battle on his hands. I wouldn't expect anything from this until late May early June.

People are expecting a commitment because of the decommit following a visit.
Maybe the deal is sealed and they will announce on a planned time frame.
Maybe he is going somewhere else and waiting to be certain.

I don't know, you don't know. Matter of fact, only tidbits we can go off of are provided by the organization you treat with the contempt of your older, prettier sister.
All the while, coming on here slurping every nugget that you can for free, like the fat cashier at McDonald's on a milkshake.

Think that about covers it.

Hubbs has always said Martinez will make a decision within a couple weeks after his visit to UT. His quick decommit got fans like myself excited and optimistic he would flip quickly. Austin Price made a comment that Canales could close the deal Friday with his visit to Cali. It's Sunday. Vols are clearly in good shape. What's the problem? I don't see one. If he's not a Vol by next weekend and he's scheduled more visits then the focus will shift to other QB's like Cooper and White. My guess is Martinez announces Vol this week. JMO

And making the comment that Canales could close the deal on Friday is the problem when he wasn't even by rule able to meet with him. That was the point as Friday was just another day In the process and it was irresponsible to suggest otherwise.


I agree I think he announces in the next 1-2 weeks

Coaches can never talk to recruits during the spring eval period. Canales went to watch Martinez workout and spent a lot of time with those close to Martinez (high school coaches, an administrator). As was stated in the WR, if Tennessee can make Martinez feel comfortable with the support system here — especially by answering questions to his support system there — then the Vols have the best chance to land the West Coast QB.
