Why? Since when has a Heisman Trophy guaranteed NFL success. You're changing the argument. You said OU had "put a boatload of QBs in the league". Why does Heisman hype need to be included?
I already apologized and said the boatload line was poorly worded.
My original point is playing qb at QU has been better than playing QB at Tenn in the last 20 years. Imo that is clear.
Being a QB at Tennessee > QB at Oklahoma.
They beat us twice.
That's simply hasn't been true the last 20 years. Post Manning OU has sent a boat load of QBs to the league.
Well, I think that is pretty obvious. OU has played for a couple national titles in that span while we have experienced one of the worst droughts in program history.
I think that the biggest issue with your statement was that OU had put more QBs in the NFL and the insinuation that they experienced more success there too. While their collegiate success may have been more impressive, their NFL careers and number of QBs put into the league are not.
I was talking about the stage. I would rather be a QB at UT than OU and I'm trying not to be biased. SEC>Big 12,
Neyland>Gaylord Family Memorial.
I don't think guys look that far back on the success at their position at a school. I know that I would just look at the recent success and coaching staff. We have a QB coach now and hopefully we put some production out there this year and make a statement with another QB other than Dobbs.
Taking over for mayfield is a nice thing to sell as well for OU.
