Obviously, Tennessee's 4-star QB created a bit of a stir with the USC article.
As noted in a previous thread, Martinez says he's "all Tennessee" and has tweeted out a similar statement.
@Austin_Price and I have both talked with people around this recruitment, and the Vols don't have anything to worry about right now.
The article came as surprise to a lot of folks, but Martinez is a really nice kid who answered some questions for an interview. Probably not the best idea right off of 'Orange Carpet Day,' but again, he's a nice kid who made an innocent mistake.
Sources say he's locked in with the Vols and loves Tennessee. His word is very important to him and his family. He enjoyed hanging out with Cade Mays, Alontae Taylor, etc. so much last weekend he didn't want to go home. He was also a big recruiter for UT with guys like Emerson, Carvin and Lyn-J Dixon.
Again, it's a not shock USC would come calling after losing Corral, but even with Martinez family's ties to the area, he's developed a real bond with coach Canales and loves Knoxville.
