Yeah I don't see how you pass on a kid w his talent. Part of good coaching is taking an athletic kid and finding a way to help his skill set fit into your system. He may not be prototypical for what CJP wants be he can play so you take him.

Jones was so married to the system that he let it dictate the players ability. You can't get someones full potential that way

Um yes I have a source with this particular player. No, I will not name my source or how I know him because I know my “source” reads these message boards. FACT. I simply just stated my knowledge about this situation on an ANONYMOUS message board. Believe it or not. I couldn’t care less. But some of you people still bashing 17 and 18 year old kids and saying he isn’t a take because of history with injuries is pathetic. Especially a kid who has been through some very trying times personally. I know this kid works very hard to get back healthy and wants nothing more than to play for such a passionate fan base. It would be a moronic move by the coaching staff to not honor this kids scholarship not only because his injury issues, but also the fact of burning bridges in the M’boro area. This kid is loved by his community. It would definitely burn bridges.

I'm not sure of the extent of his injury, but worst case scenario, his scholly gets turned into a medical waiver and a good kid gets a free education. Best case scenario, he heals up and balls out, and we don't create recruiting ripples in our own state. If your goal is to keep in-state talent home, you don't close any doors.

This is not true and there is some things goikng on here in which it's causing friction in Rutherford County with some coaches and ppl. Bucka and I told the staff of the importance and significance of D. Lit to the ppl all across TN so hopefully they decide to make it work.

It's one scholarship. It makes no sense to piss off the home state high school coaches when one of your stated goals at your introductory press conference was keeping in-state talent home. If you're Pruitt, you make it work. If nothing else, you win in the future when you're not getting shut out of schools in your backyard.

Yeah I agree. Wouldn’t be smart for Pruitt to cut this guy loose. Just one scholarship and maybe he’ll be able to bounce back either way.

The thing is, you guys cause friction everywhere with everyone. While I agree, the staff needs to keep this kid and put him in a position to succeed. I can see down the road one of you getting rubbed the wrong way over something else.
